During pre-running car number 4698 encountered a fault on their fuel rail dumping around 3 gallons of fuel into the engine bay. While managing to stop the fire before it completely burned down the vehicle, the next handful of days would have them scrambling with all hands on deck to get her running and on course. And they did. It’s a great story of an amazing family who doesn’t quit. Year over year. Iteration over iteration they stick to it looking for that win. We’ll see them on the lakebed next year.
