Nico, in ep 9 you thought this game & botw were in the same timeline as wind waker. That can't be the case since ganondorph was stabbed in the head with the master sword, and hyrule's underwater in that game + phantom hourglass & a later game in that timeline (the adult tineline), this & botw take place in either the child timeline (majora's mask & twilight princes), or hero's defeat timeline

Two things Nico 1: You do realize that you can used the star Fragments for leveling up the outfits. 2: Huh, so this is were Master Kohga has been since BOTW, wait you mean to tell me this entire time kohga survived that fall from BOTW and waited all that time till now 3: I know I said two things but might as well say this one is that you can also use your amibo’s if you want, just saying you don’t have to use them.

Funny enough Nico, that 2 fans and steering stick machine you made is actually very close to what people have discovered to be one of the most effective vehicles to get around with. I won't say how, but a slight change in the design gives you so much more control over your flight with it.

Granted that some of them can be found in pairs & those are out in the open, but since you need less than half to max out your inventory and the "reward" for collecting them all is the same it's no wonder why people have unleashed their creativity in the devising of torture devices for the sentient yard rubbish.

I know a lot if it is done for game play mechanics. I'd like to think that it's a combination of Link's introversion that he doesn't interact with people much after the one time he helps them except for the people who are closely affiliated with Zelda and the knights. But also its plausible people have memory problems due to traumatic events. Lack of memory is a symptom of past trauma and considering the state of Hyrule I think it's safe to say they can't seem to catch a break for very long at this point everyone except the children are going to start developing complex ptsd.

I like to think the reason the Yiga clan are in the depths in this game is because Link threw their master into that giant hole in the last game Yiga clan member: "Master Kohga, we're here to rescue you" Kohga: "Heheh, excellent. Now, come my loyal followers, once we return to the surface, we shall devise a plan to kill the hero and..." Yiga clan member: "Uh... the surface?" Kohga: "Yes, the surface. A fun detail is that to explain what happened to the old shrines, they literally just made every one of them Holes to the depths in this game. It's most noticeable in a place like the Great Plateau where if you remember, there were 4 Shrines on each corner of the Plateau, and now there are 4 holes where the shrines used to be. The Shrine of Resurrection is indeed where you started last game, it is yet currently unknown what happened to it since last game, but there's a small detail. It was mentioned that the Shrine was built over Springs with healing capabilities in Breath of the Wild, and now that the Shrine seems to have disappeared, you can now use them to heal your wounds in Tears of the Kingdom.

Nico, as per the not recognising Link, in-game its been a number of years. Yeah, Link is a big deal, but news travels slowly in the apocalypse, so for most he's "that blonde guy who helped me out that one time" so it makes sense that they'd probably forget him for the most part, especially since he's just been with Zelda and Lookout Landing doing ruins stuff and rebuilding, so they'd not have seen him in years or never got his name in the first place (silent protagonists, baby). I know a lot of people were bothered by the lack of Link being recognised but to me it makes sense, his impact on a personal level was low and where it was high he *is* remembered, which i think makes the world more fun, people have their own stuff going on and don't remember the random guy from years ago. Though Hetsu is probably just an airhead who forgot, he seems like the type to forget his best friend if he hasn't seen them in a year, man literally lost hundreds of seeds *twice* after all
@bravecereza
@bravecereza Год назад
That and even in BoTW, only a few people recognize you, while most people talk about Link as "that Hero that followed the princess 100 years ago" while everyone seems to have a much clearer idea of who Zelda is and who she looks like, even 100 years after her disappearance

Another useful tip about those ghosts holding weapons, they might be fairly weak weapons when you find them now but you should absolutely collect them whenever you see them, even if you immediately throw them away anyway. If they spawn in holding a weapon they will hold that exact weapon FOREVER until you collect it, meaning once you are several dozen hours into the game they will still be holding the most basic sh*t if you didn't pick it up earlier. If you want their weapons to grow stronger you MUST take the weak crap from them or they won't ever get anything better.

Hey Nico, I'm here to give you some advice regarding the Under the Water and Behind the Stone Gate search your doing at the great plateau. The Stone gate refers to the actual entrance to the Great Plateau that we get to see in Age of Calamity. However, back in Breath of the Wild there’s a bunch of rocks that blocks it and we can see that water has since filled the area that remained. Also, for an exact location, next to where the first shrine you did in BoTW once stood. Anyway, I hoped that this helped. Edit: Before I forget, I highly doubt you would see this edit, you don't have to get the towers right away. Since a major part of the game is exploration. And focusing on the towers would make you both avoid places you had been to in the last game and not see the little changes that's there. For instance, you haven't been back to Hateno Village despite having have to buy back Link's house in the last game and seeing if the purchase was canon or not.

Here’s something I learned playing BotW again and TotK in full: You can identify Yiga Clan members disguised as NPCs from actual NPCS by one core feature-they aren’t named. No matter how small a role they play, NPCs in these two games ALL have names-every single one of them-and it appears in the corner of their speech bubble and over their heads if you hover next to them without talking to them (you also have to have talked with them once before). Yiga Clan members are only called what they’re disguised as: “researcher” for example. They’re a crafty bunch, but their disguises aren’t perfect. Hope this helps a little!

Some quest are simple like that, while others will have the waypoint be where you picked up the quest. Usually depends on the kind of quest it is.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but regarding one shot abilities in this game, i just found out that 90% of one shot abilities in this game will always leave you with at leaste 1 quarter of a heart regardless of the number of hearts you have provided you were at full health when hit. If you were not at full heath the one shot kills will kill you, but just thought this would be good mechanic to share.

As a recommendation, you should do the story up north west that everyone (NPC) is telling you 1st, you'll get something very useful from that mission and it opens up a lot of other stuff, like the real way to get to that demon statue under lookout landing. Sure do all the stuff that you meet on the way there, but definitely do the north west main story 1st

I find it ironic how side characters like Hestu don't remember you, while other side characters from previous (and easily skippable) quests like Oliff still do. Though to be fair it seems like he sees Link more frequently, on account of the fact he works with the head Hylian Guard, Hoz. It makes me wonder what other small, side characters will remember you in this game.

Hey Nico, if I can give one piece of advice, DON’T use the diamond shape stamps for marking shrines. I did the exact same thing since they’re clearly meant for that, but the issue is that the stamps get covered up by the actual shrine diamond perfectly, and it’s easy to forget to remove the stamp afterward. If you’re anything like me when it comes to mapping, then you’ll use up all 300 stamps faster than you might think, and not having to look through every shrine/lightroot for basically invisible stamps will be helpful when you need to free up some stamps

Now that you got autobuild, you've found the main use for Zonaite, using it for constructing with autobuild. The balance I've had with using Zonite for both Autobuild and batteries has been using mainly the large zonaite (which can't be used for autobuild) to get the charges, while avoiding spending the normal zonite on them, saving those for autobuild.

Some advice for the Underground, while treasure chests are plentiful and can have a lot of common items like arrows, ingredients, and weapons in the surface. The underground has a limited amount of chests and carry only Large zonite, Zonite crystals, Schematics ,and Armor pieces. so it may be more efficient for you to Take a picture of random chest, and use the locator to find chests down there since they tend to be more valuable then the surfaces.

The fact that Autobuild instantly saves **every single thing you make or adjust** with absolutely no save or load time at all is just genuinely black magic, and the fact that the builds you make don’t influence run speed of the game and are saved for an indefinite period of time within the allotted spots (or if you favorite them) is just insane on a programming standpoint. Just beware your Zonite ore use when using it, since using autobuild without a item present uses a “gel” temporary part that consumes 3 Zonite ore each to substitute, and these temp parts despawn if you’re too far away from it unlike genuine solid parts or if they’re detached.

Nico, two pieces of advice from this episode. The First involves the Glider you've discovered, its design while allowing you to fly infinitely, is not great for the depths. Their is a method very similar to the air glide, which is what is known as an air bike, which requires you to tilt the fans slightly, and attach one to the front of the steering stick, and the other on the back. Doing this solves two major issues: It gives you a better method of landing as the tilted fans will allow you to more efficiently land, and it also gives you much better forward control at the cost of a slightly slower ascension. And the second tidbit is look at the map of the great plateau, and see if anything stands out. Without spoiling it, the request by the statue is a bit vague. You'll be looking for something that isn't directly on the plateau (I don't believe their is ever any better hint given)
@robotorange747

A bit of advice about your design you made. Angle the fans forward a little, it will let you move easier and you won't just hit the ceiling.

Just a tip for the Gloom Hands, as they do drop some valuable loot upon defeat! It's not really a good idea to rush at the Gloom Hands, it's better to take your time and _rush_ at the hands when given the opportunity! Either that, or make use of your arrows and what you're able to fuse to do extra damage, or inflict certain status ailments. Hope you feel better soon!

Also for the Pristine weapons down below, if you see a weapon you don't like, and you don't have space for it, just Ultrahand it, otherwise it's permanently there. Once you take it out of their hand, wait for another Bloodmoon and then they'll respawn with a different weapon hopefully!

I actually believe that was Purah and Robbie, since there is not a single piece of ancient Sheikah technology to be found, except for the new Sky Towers and the Purah Pad. No shrines, no guardians, no Divine Beasts, none of the old towers anywhere. My bet is they simply dismantled it all, so it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

Regarding the stallhorse leaving, my first trip to the depths, around 2 hours in, i stole one from a stalkobkin and spent the next 15 hours dicking around the depths exclusively (i didn't know you could find them just hanging around, and i grew attached to it dammit!). Don't worry, it won't despawn if you're far from it and you can even return to the surface for short trips (like to buy or sth) and it will still be there. Howsver since there's no blood moon while you're in the depths your horsey won't die but the game will start behaving weirdly

I think the bed/chamber you were sleeping in crumbled away when all the old Sheikah shrines vanished. It was probably located where that little healing spring is now, and the Yiga were basically using "your old room" as their base these last few years.

Only putting it out there as a recommendation, but you might want to consider going to Rito Village, because what you get from completing that area is the most useful, even with low stamina. Not to mention something else in the area will help you get the ball rolling on the Great Fairies. I also suggest visiting the more familiar areas of the Great Plateau and Hateno Village, the latter a place you had a hand in making... EDIT: Okay, so you did visit SOME of them on Great Plateau, but you just MIGHT find something in the Temple of Time you visited. Specifically the place up top where you first met the King.
