Dr Jordan B Peterson and Amala Ekpunobi discuss her early life being raised in a far left household, the instances that caused her to question the all-encompassing ideology she had been fed, and her rise to providence as an internet and podcast personality, advocating for the truth across party lines.
Raised in a far-left activist household, twenty-two-year-old Amala Ekpunobi was once a student organizer for the left. Unanswered questions-and a search for the truth-led her to a complete ideological transformation. Passionately sharing her new conservative values online, Amala became a viral social media sensation. Now the host of PragerU’s popular show “Unapologetic with Amala,” she inspires millions of young people every day to discover the truth, defend their values, and lead better lives.
Dr Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: utm.io/ueSXh

I remember seeing an "Anarchist" cartoon spoofing Robin Hood after his band of "Merry Men" robbed some millionaires. Little John turns to Robin Hood and asks when do they give what they robbed to the poor. Robin Hood replied that they don't give their money to the poor, but they simply give the poor the satisfaction that the rich were robbed.

I found a brillant quote in a video ("Victor Davis Hanson: Biden is the most dangerously radical President in US history" at 30:08 there ), a real eye-opener to me: „So i think that the republican party finally is shedding this image that it‘s a bunch of white guys on a gulf course putting around and talking about capital gaines and privatizing social security. And it’s a party of the middle class in contrast to the democratic party that despises the white working class we know but really the entire working class and is a party of very very wealthy people, the Bill Gates', the Warren Buffets, the Zuckerbergs, the Bloombergs, and then the subsidized lower middle class and poor. And so they don’t care about the middle class. They feel they lack the romance of the poor and they don’t have the cultural sophistication of the wealthy and they make fun of them at 360 degrees, 24/7.“ (I hope I didn't make to many typos in this quote.) I think it's the same here in Germany, with our social democratic party SPD and the leftist party.

I generally agree with almost everything J. Peterson says, but I see problems with his use of the word "belief." For example, I know that planet Earth is not flat, but it is not my belief. the problem with the concept of immorality is that it has always been assumed even since the time of Adam & Eve that people actually have a choice or intelligence. and in order to make an intelligent choice, you have to have intelligence. if you don't have a sufficient amount of intelligence, how the heck are you going to make an intelligent choice?? society judges people of low intelligence as if they purposefully chose to be born with low I.Q.s. what madness!! higher intelligence (a.k.a. the Freudian superego) requires a certain distancing from instinctive impulses which reside in our subconscious minds, but if that part of the brain is damaged, how is the judge going to make sound judgement?? the chief of the tribe or the king of a kingdom used to decide what was moral and what was immoral or wrong. then the churches began to make that decision. and then finally a democratic majority of citizens began making that decision. the concepts of morality & immorality had evolved over the centuries. but now, in our present political climate, we have all been brainwashed into thinking that we are still living in medieval times. that's two steps backwards from progress or two steps down on the ladder to heaven. never downplay another person's suffering and belittle them. always have compassion for those who are less than you. for one day you may be in their shoes.

@@mason4966 Have you ever heard of "history?" For example, if you are young, you didn't experience the Vietnam war, the Korean war or WW2. You may not have experienced first hand the effects of 9/11, the end of the Soviet Union, the Cuban missile crisis or the Civil Rights movement. That gives you a limited understanding of these events and other things that shaped the world you live in today. People can tell you about it or you can read about it in books or on the internet. @@breakmanradio2530 There's serious identity crisis in America currently, sensible young men and women like Amala can't relate to the leftist ideologies that defy common sense and decency, but the difficulty in turning right is the thin line between conservatism and it's political affiliations. 90% of conservatives tend to lean Republican, and the struggle for individuals like Amala who have the sense to know that the core base of the republican party has a significant following that shares certain views that may be in direct conflict with herself. What America needs is a third party, a party founded on rationality and rectitude, I believe the future of the nation may depend on it.

I'm a polio survivor and alternate between short crutches and a wheelchair. One of my poems, "What Happened to You," relates to Amala's story at 45:39: "Folks are always asking me, Did you fall out of a tree? Did you slip and hurt your leg? Can you work or do you beg? "Children, innocent and true, Say, 'What happened, sir, to you? I take time my tale to lend. Oftentimes I make a friend. "Used to be that we were slapped With a tag called 'Handicapped.' If you think I must be labeled, You may say, 'Partially disabled.' Part of my motion has been tabled; My demise, though, is just fabled. Fault may be mine or lie with none. Fight the causes, find the fun! "'Crippled,' from Old English 'creep,' No more is a term we keep. You may say it; I won't slam it. I may do it, not I am it. "I say, 'Take me as I am. I was pretending to be a leftist for a longtime too, and I was self loathing and lacked confidence the entire time. My anger was all derived from not being able to see a way forward. I lashed out at normality. I refused to conform. But Then I started getting paychecks. I was able to get my license and bought a car and obtained my freedom. I expanded my circle of friends and was shown a fresh perspective. I realized leftist are bonkers. A normal life became exciting after I established some kind of control over my own life. I grew up. All we have to do is make good choices and start improving ourselves. Be the best version of ourselves. Its never too late to make the right choice and develop a routine. If everyone who was able did that, society would heal itself. We'd be unstoppable.

Agreed! In my teenage years I used to be very leftist but changed as soon as I moved around the country and met many different people, started working towards my goals, and developed a life for myself. Also didn't have religion at the time and thought arrogantly that as a human I was strong enough to take on life by myself. I can see it in my younger self that leftist thinking is a great way to fit into a "group think" and have some sort of identity. But identity based on blame and victim hood is a very unstable and bitter existence. Glad we were all able to see a way out and take control of our own lives 🙌

The first incident took place during a group project. My partner for the project was a very attractive young blonde. She was annoyed that she was being treated like a stereotypical dumb blonde by the female professor. A while later there was a "Self Defense for Women" session. As it just so happens I'd taught the exact same class as a police officer. But no .... I had to leave the classroom in order to protect some sort of secret techniques no male should be privy to. It so interesting listening this young woman talk about feeling so different in her community growing up. I had a very similar childhood in that I was a very blonde very white, shy little white girl in a community that was 80% Mexican. I grew up on the Arizona Mexico border. The Mexican mommas were very kind to me and fascinated by how different I was and they wanted to touch my hair and look at my very blue eyes. The kids, on the other hand, were hostile and bullying. I had two different directions that I was pointed in. My grandmother, who was bilingual and had taught in the school when she was young encouraged me to be quiet and patient and eventually all would be well. My mother had grown up in the same community encouraged me to fight back, stand up to the bullies. The decision was taken out of my hands when the only other anglo child in my class popped a bag of rocks over my head. That was it for me. I chased this boy down and pounded him for all I was worth. The whole school witnessed this event. It ended the bullying. Nobody wanted the crazy little white girl to beat them silly. So in that case my mother was right. But my grandmother was right as well because as time passed my classmates became my friends. Being different in a group is always stressful. I had the good fortune to recieve two kinds of good advice, stand up for yourself but be willing to forgive past transgresdions. In time the differences became irrelevant and I became surrounded by friends.

But to paraphrase Jesus, if we love and do good to our friends only, from whom we expect to receive the same in return, what credit is that to us?? Evil people can do the same. Jesus is ALWAYS right. Something I'd never considered is how miserable the world must be from the view of being a victim. Teaching your kid that the world hates them and is out to get them and there's nothing they can do has to be soul crushing. I was always taught that I was in charge of my life and that's pulled me through some dark thoughts, but if I didn't have that... I don't know how I'd get by. Congrats for overcoming that Amala, a true achievement.

Sorry but this is a bad take. And I think we are actually on the same side. But the victim mentality promulgated through postmodernist ideology is predicated on the idea that, yes, you are weak and you are opressed-- but because of that the world OWES you and you are automatically absolved of responsibility. It's not that the world hates you and there is nothing to be done about it, because that's goddam true and an integral part of the human condition. It's that society must bend over backwards to accommodate you, instead of you bearing your cross

I was extremely left leaning some years ago. Somewhere back then I was starting to feel skeptical about most of their ideologies. Sick of all of the outrage. I've heard them scream bloody murder and acuse Jordan of being the most awful human being ever, so that made me want to listen to him. I knew that if these idiots were so perplexed by what he preached, that must mean he is an amazing human being with an important message. And that's exactly what happened. I listened to some of his content and thought to myself "Oh dear, they couldn't be more wrong if they tried". I immensely admire his work and have attended his show once already ❤
