Ah, Amy, still giving dreams a song. Something about this, can't say exactly what, brings to mind Steven Stills' My Lady of the Island; and even Guinevere, off the same album. Beyond your brighter up tempo delivery, this song still has that "dream just coming into view" ambiance. Love it.
Thanks Mike! “Road” was the first cover I ever did on RU-vid in 2008! I took it off my channel with the idea of re-doing it because the video quality wasn’t the best. But I never re-did it! Haha. Anyway, it’s a very strange tuning, I think it was DADEAD.
@@amccann7 haha! That’s awesome Amy. I thought you did that tune, but when I didn’t see it there I thought I must have imagined it haha. I think you should just re-upload the old version, despite the sound quality. AND a new version. ;) That album is such a masterpiece. I can never seem to get tired of it. I’ve been enjoying CGCFCE tuning lately/again for “place to be”, “pink moon” & “which will”. I’d like to put all of the pink moon album in the repertoire someday. Thanks John. I’m not sure it was a compulsion, but I seem to be having a creative burst presently, and have been uploading in my Facebook musicians page. I thought I better keep this account current as well! I’ve missed my RU-vid friends too; so a combination of those I guess! :)
Thx. It’s the BEBEBE tuning that Nick used in several of his songs. I’m pretty sure his was capo-Ed at the 4 th fret. It’s the same tuning for Time of No Reply and others.
I’ve recorded some things over the years. There’s some up on reverbnation and SoundCloud. But I haven’t yet made anything for sale. I do plan on doing just that. I’m presently writing material to that end. Thank you for your interest! Amy
