Your honest tears made my heart weep for your beloved Poppa. I'm sorry you had to experience that so young. *hug* Both of my grandpas died before I was born, so I totally missed those relationships. My Daddy just died in 2021, a couple months shy of his 90th birthday. He was a Navy veteran (Korea/Vietnam) and also had an honor guard and 21-gun salute. Although we were all so very proud, each volley of shots felt as if they were going straight through my heart! 💔 I miss that man so much! This song almost always brings tears for me. It's so very beautiful, though!
My dad went to fight in Europe at the same time the soldier in the video received this notice, 1941, and remained in the Army his whole career. He also received the 21-gun salute at his burial and the flag was presented to me. It's one of the most meaningful moments ever. This video encapsulates all those emotions combined with intense pride for our veterans. (Wish you'd come back to reacting to Home Free. You're one of my favorite reactors.
