A great moment for beagle fans everywhere. Uno was every bit the merry little hound we fell in love with. He couldn't help but join the noise of the crowd.
@@ws90ninetyThen you need to keep googling. There are many such “lists,” and while the beagle isn’t normally at the top, they are not normally near the bottom. The list needs to come from someone who knows how to judge intelligence, which isn’t easy with dogs. Beagles are stubborn, and very much food motivated. They will often not respond to a command, which is interpreted as dumb by the uninformed. Then you offer the beagle a treat along with the same command, and watch how quickly he becomes “intelligent.” While you’re googling, search for “beagle learns to escape” or something close to that. There are some great videos showing beagles as escape artists. There are also some showing beagles figuring out how to get food, like by pushing a chair next to a counter and then climbing up on the chair. With treats, I’ve taught beagles to quickly learn as many tricks as any breed.
@@ws90ninetythat dosen't mean their dumb. It just means that they don't think in the same way other dogs do. They still learn most things quickly. Just differently sometimes.
Uno was and will always be the best winner ever! My daughter saw him when he visited Purina and she heard him baying in the elevator before he made his entrance. The absolute epitome of the perfect companion. Run free now Uno. You were the best and we all loved you. Wiping away tears after watching this.
I'll never get over how beautiful Uno was. He truly was a Beagle's Beagle -- small, stocky and compact, lovely gait, and a little bit of sass. Him looking around like "Y'all cheering for me? Of course you are" was priceless. If anyone was on the fence about him before, those little howls and tail wagging won them over. On a side note, that Aussie Shepherd was stunning.
I have to come back to visit this video at least once a year. Today is April 14, 2024, and I’m one of the biggest fans of Uno. Hats off to one of his 3 owners, Jon Woodring, in Advance, NC. I have my 2nd beagle from Jon, and this one is a tri-color like Uno. Everywhere I go with her (Sadie), people say “that’s the prettiest dog I’ve ever seen.” That’s because she looks a lot like Uno. So many people who are not involved in dog shows, including me, know about Uno. I think that’s because everyone can relate to a Beagle. Uno died some years ago, but he’s alive in our hearts.
