The sls gives a solid cheek weld and the storage is very usable for batteries and such. Not the lightest option out there but for these types of builds they are a great option.
sweet build, did i miss specs on the barrel? mfg, twist, profile etc. also i love the colors, is that like the odg/ tan color that PSA is using on their m110 clones? ever since they came out with those ive been wanting one but in 5.56
Barrel is the 14.5" Ballistic Advantage Modern Series | Midlength Gas System | 1/7 Twist. The receiver set is cerakote ODG Aero Precision. Geissele handguard is FDE anodized.
@@scorpiustactical interesting, the hanson barrel i got is quite lightly gassed, the first few rounds it didnt lock open, but after getting it broken in abit( new upper build) it locks back on .223 and 5.56 with no can. not sure what kynshot is but im assuming some sort of training round or something. neat!
@@scorpiustactical I looked up kynshot, and im honestly not sure i understand it. its a product to reduce recoil, but needs MORE gas? seems kinda counter productive. with the lightly gassed hanson barrel the recoil is already very managable
Question. Is that a range/ SHTF toy or would you risk losing something so nice to an investigation in a self defense case? I have my most tricked out rifle for the range/SHTF and a basic dependable 10.5 for home and self defense
That is what we thought as well but were happily surprised when we ran them in 20 degree weather. Did not see any slowing or stiffening of the buffer. Per the sire and @kynshot they are rated -30 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
