I love how this series is just two rich beefcakes living it up in their little lakehouse having a great time trying to spite their neighbors... it's certainly a bit different from the other rtr but it's just wonderful

We can always say that that fever dream wedding was Kevin's nightmare the day before the wedding. Like he was worried that Reginald would cheat on him/flirt with his ex and that his wedding was going to go terribly, and be the worst day ever etc, but it was actually really peaceful and beautiful.
I see lots of people in the comments coming up with ways they can have a biological child, but as an adoptee myself, I really loved that James didn't go that route and just went straight to adoption without blinking. I'm so used to simmers changing their sims in CAS so same-sex couples can have bio children, but the adopt option is right there... idk, it meant more than I expected it to haha. Thanks, James :D
@@immortalscourge but it doesn’t end to Reginald. There’s still the other branch in the family tree with Angus, Nina and Sandalwood. There’ll still be biological Bigwallet genes in the family tree that will go on once Reginald’s storyline has reached Sandalwood’s timeline, so to me it feels a really nice change to see adopting in the family too, which is realistic, but it’s still happening only in one of the branches of the tree that doesn’t change the whole outcome of the family if that makes any sense 😄
@@immortalscourge I can see where you're coming from too, I just wanted to give my perspective since I couldn't find it elsewhere in the comments c: (edit: to clarify, the adoptee perspective specifically) People are always going to have differing feelings about something like adopting and that's chill.
@@erikoinenuori I'm aware, that's why I specified "that branch of the Bigwallet bloodline" would end. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally down with the adoption but if James plans on Reggie having more children it would be a shame if none of them could carry on the Bigwallet blood imo. I'd simply like it if James used some shenanigans to make it possible for at least one of Reggie's children to be biological in some way.

I would put a short fence along the top of the wall between the house and gym to make it look more finished. Since they are into fitness, I would switch the coffee maker (only does energized) for the tea brewer machine (which has a calming chamomile that could help Kevin with his issues, as well as an energized tea and healthy combat colds green). Maybe change the green counters to a dark blue to go with the rest of the house? What if you put the office nook looking out the front window where the couch and fireplace is, move the fireplace to where the desk is (realistically the chimney could still work with an elbow fitting), place the chess table opposite the fireplace, tv in the corner between the arches, couch in the center of the room on an angle partially closing off the office space facing the tv?
Oh and when you are ready to expand the family, what if you move to the lot that is currently a rental (could Reno it or just rebuild) and turn their old home into a rental lot (strip it back to basics)?
In the bedroom, you should do a wall of built ins or a walkin behind the bed. Move the bed forward and maker another room maybe with just archways on each side
"Why. What blue does Lilsimsie use? None of these Blues are blue enough.", is my favorite comment made by James of all times, next to "KATRINA!", the Roomba going around and a cat running to chase birds or a dog running to a digging spot. Or either of the pets sitting on the Roomba like it was a pet bus. The Roomba does come with Cats & Dogs after all, and the pets using it for transportation is just *PAWdorable*
I wonder which IRL cat was the first to ride a roomba? Then all the other cats heard about it and had to try it...my dog never thought to do it. The first cat thought, "What is this intruder?! I won't fight it----I will RIDE it!!"

It’s definitely a possibility, although reginald is a spellcaster so he could always bring Kevin back with magic. Although knowing James he’d probably try gambing all the money on the wishing well before he tries that lol
I love how James just went full blast mode on Kevin "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WANT TO KNIT? I AM TELLING YOU TO KNIT!!" very on-brand for sims to just not do what you tell them to do 😂😂
The onesies are unlocked at Knitting Level 10. I guess it's to get people to finish the skill, since that's the primary reason a lot of people wanted it. (Also, get your kids to knit! It's like the best way to build up Emotional Control)
Excellent tip! I intend to do that in at least one save: teach a kiddo to knit. I just have to remember. Also, very annoying that the onesie is at level 10. I always intended to get there but then I get distracted and switch families so I just never unlock it.
I'm only 1 minute in but I'm pretty sure I just saw that Kevin has an empty romance bar with Column... this series won't give you a break from the chaos for real.
So you’re telling me that we left the bad wedding timeline where reginald flirted with his ex-fling/distant cousin at his wedding, and entered the “good” wedding timeline where Kevin has a thing for his mother-in-law Column? Oh no, this is what happens when you keep resetting the timeline, everything just gets even more messy! 😂
It’s also happens if two sim doesn’t know each other but one ask the other if they want to be best friends and they gain a sentiment. But since the don’t know each other you can’t open and check and they have zero relationships. (Happens all the time in my game.)
Honestly I like to think they’re a one kid family happy with their lifestyle and house, Reginald has always had that successful business like mind. I can see Addison feeling lonely as an only child and moving out to their own lot to have a bigger family, maybe they’re the more social family type
I wish James played with mods, then he could get the pregnancy overhaul mod that adds so many family interactions!! Like asking if a kid wants a sibling, surrogacy, etc.
I suppose because this was the last line where the genes were actually the lady bigwallet genes. On the other side of the family there's an alien baby which don't carry the dad's DNA so those weren't bigwallets genes anymore either. After all those generations this is where the genes end. ((Well they actually ended with Cottage living when our beloved farmer ended up without a wife and his alien brother crashing the party because that time line is later but still))
What if for the living space you put the desk by the fireplace, the chess where the desk was and then the living room facing that long wall? The living room would be bigger then and you could maybe also fit the rocking chair inside. For the bedroom, agree with another commenter that you could put a long walk in closet behind the bed if you pulled the bed forward closer to the window and use arches on each side.
Aw I like little baby Addison. Looking forward to see what they’ll turn out to be like once they grow up. And I don’t doubt for a second that Reg especially will live through them vicariously. Perhaps he’ll get them into cheer once they’re high school age. Or, perhaps Addison will rebel and do football or something instead haha
The wedding conversation options still appearing after the wedding is definitely an oversight I would like the team to take care of. It's so annoying to still have all those options popping up during my gameplay 😖
I hate the new wants and fear system. They gain the "unfulfilled dreams" fear far too easily (especially when playing a long or ageless lifespan where you can take your time with sims aspirations) and they end up constantly angry. There's an aspiration reward, I think it's only 300 points, that can take away a fear. Very useful! My gardening sim has a locked want to up her gardening skill and her aspiration is the gardening one, but she's far along so gaining a new skill point takes longer and waiting for plants to evolve takes a while. So she keeps getting the unfulfilled dreams fear even though I am working on her skills and aspiration. I could maybe understand gaining that fear that quickly if the sim was ambitious, that would make sense personality-wise, but not a regular sim. I'm just trying to play a chill cottage-core witch with aging off, and she's throwing tantrums because she's not skilling up fast enough. You're immortal, it's not even been a whole season, chill out!
Also, I could be wrong but it seems like the "Dead-End Job" fear still pops up when a Sim is at level 10 of their career which is just awkward. I guess maybe getting a tick and a raise helps but you're at the top! That shouldn't happen any more. Well, I noticed this in Kelsey's Orange Gen, she noticed too, and I can't recall but I think Reginald has had that as well??
I feel like you’re almost recreating Brooklyn 99 with “Reginald” Holt and Kevin. You should get a corgi and name it cheddar. Kevin knitting seems like something Kevin Cozner would do on the show 😂😂
If you make the bedroom a bit smaller it'll be less awkward and you can have room on the balcony for the rocking chair (or cozy egg chair from high school years if the rocking chair is still bugged)! Kevin could knit with a nice view and still be close to the baby.
I was so excited to finally see the renovation of this home. "Stairs! We have stairs!" Also, that "Ask to be [whatever] in wedding" is definitely a bug and is popping up for so many of my already-married Sims 🙄
That sliding door could totally be indoors. Plenty of houses have sliding doors like that - most closets work that way, in apartments in the U.S., even, they have a groove/track on the ground they slide in and fold open in a similar way.
The anger can be managed by realising a wants. It come with the wants and fear system. And they can do nothing while angry. So have them realise a want and you're go to go.

With the mud puddle in the bathroom, if you have moveobjects off and replace the bathroom, it should delete it. That or place an item on it. Hope this helps! Love the let's play and the new house is cute!

You mentioning how Reginald is just sleeping while the baby is crying in the same room, this really happens. Quite often my partner will be 'sleeping' with our little one screaming next to him, sometimes literally in his ear lol
It would be cool if you could do 2 houses on the same lot (maybe a duplex?) When Addison grows up. That way the grandkids can easily visit their grandpas!
I gotta be honest, the fears aspect does seem repetitive so sometimes so I just buy the fear b gone potion in the rewards store. I can't be bothered with my Sims having constant crises while I'm grinding lol
I love this LP and this build so much! This is one of my favorite houses you've made especially from the outside.... it just feels so organic, cozy, lived in, and like an old house that was renovated properly to incorporate the new. (The inside of course needs some work but that's just because it's a LP but I like what you've done so far) I would buy and live in that house 100000%

@@LivinInSim I watch crime shows and have done so since I was 11, which is 10, almost 11 years ago now. Shows like that requires the detectives (or civilians in the case of the series called "Castle") to have an eye for detail. Richard Castle, in the titular series mentioned in the parentheses, is a famous Mystery Writer, whose latest book series, Nikki Heat, based off and inspired by NYPD Detective Katherine Beckett, joined the NYPD as a civilian consultant because the murder in the series premiere was based off of a murder in one of his less-known books, the title of that episode was "Flowers for your grave", and because the murder was based off of a murder he'd 100% made up for the book, having him help on that particular case was very helpful. The entire Castle series is amazing and I absolutely LOVE the series, especially the actress portraying Castle's daugther, Alexis Castle, Molly Caitlin Quinn portrayed her and she's also the voice of Princess Bloom Peters in Winx Club, from season 3-6, and ironically, she's also the voice of Lockette, Bloom's bonded pixie and the pixie of Portals. Point is, due to having watched so many crime series, I've gained the ability to spot small, very hard to notice, details, or in other words, an eye for detail. I'd love to use that to my advantage, but I'd rather work with tech, something I'm very good at, thanks to my dad and brother, both of whom are tech experts, and it'd also help my mom having me easily available if my dad is at work and because my brother lives further south in the country, having her tech loving daughter home is practical for her and me. If she got a problem with her laptop, I'm literally the only one free to fix it, but I've always had to call my brother, who talks me through what to do, whilst all our mother have to do, is repeatedly type a password, lol, but the point there is that due to my brother and me working together on fixing our mom's computer issue, it's easily fixed, as we do the same thing every time it has to be done, lol
I say we say Kevin went to therapy so we can get rid of the hot headed trait. With the new update and fears it makes it impossibly frustrating to play.
My dad wanted a hot tub forever and when my parents retired and relocated to Las Vegas he got one. He’d been hard on his body all his life, had arthritis, etc, got this fancy hot tub with a ton of jets, and even Bluetooth so he could link his iPod and soak whilst listening to his “tunes”. He used it every day 😊Even in our crazy oven like summers, used the jets with low or no heat. He’s the only person I know who had one and used it on the regular. Kind of like buying that exercise machine for a New Year’s resolution and 6 weeks later it’s an expensive clothes rack.
You could make the downstairs bathroom 2 tiles bigger by extending it into the stair hallway, moving both the door to the bathroom and the door to the living room into the kitchen.
Turn the aging on again please! We want to see Sidney's baby grow up. Also maybe allow them to have more kids and pets? It's funny to keep track and compete with him :)
Due to his High Maintenance trait, I beleive Kevin would be the type of parent who would talk to the babe and only feed them if that was the only option. He would dress them up and teach them about all the fine things in life but wouldn't do any of the dirty work like changing/potty training and cleaning up after them or teaching them the things that didn't have to do with looking good, feeling good, and how to buy everything you want without spending a lot.
I know having it close is especially necessary with snails on Prozac speed Sims, but whenever an outdoor bin is placed by the front door, grill, or any other spot close to an activity it makes me cringe. I’ve been to houses with their bin next to the front door-so very welcoming! 🤢 Especially in hot weather
@@irishduchess7577 Yeah, I just moved, and that's where the bin is! When I moved into my old place, it was right by the stairs to the deck/entrance as well. I'm going to have to find another spot. I lived in that duplex forever, and before new folks moved into the downstairs I always made sure their bin started out in a spot away from both our front doors, which are side by side. 😉Most folks left it there, and they tended to be good neighbors. It could be me, but the ones who moved it right by the door seemed to be noisier and less considerate all round. 😆The spot they would move it to would be right by one of their windows, too. The smell must've gone right in if it was open. 😝
