The Ulster-Scots Agency, working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Bureau, the University of South Georgia, and the British and Irish Consulates will be screening its film ‘From Ulster to Savannah’ in Atlanta and Savannah Georgia, USA later this month.
This film features the trip made by The Omagh Protestant Boys Melody Flute Band to the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Savannah, Georgia, USA, in March 2019.
The St Patrick's Day Parade in Savannah is the second largest in the USA attracting almost one million people to watch the 3-mile parade in the city. The Omagh Protestant Boys Melody Flute Band travelled to Savannah, Georgia, on 13th March for a number of engagements in the city including: a Military Parade, a performance for the Mayor at a city centre reception, the St Patrick's Day Parade and a performance for the St Andrew's Society of Savannah.
