the hardest thing in blender is knowing the tools you need to make what you want. Once you getting familiar with a lots of tools in blender the work becomes more fun ayou get less headhache. Sometimes you realize in the begining because your lost that a 5 minute tutorial video will take you 3 hours to make becuas ethere is so much info packed in those 5 minutes but redo this and in no time you will be able to do the same thing in 10 minutes.. Also as you get along your learning you realize that blender is a base product but you can get hundreds of free add ons and pluggins that will help you being more efficient at dong certain things. Im 4 months in and already made some really cool stuff by myself and i aldo fallow tutorials. I think The daughnuttutorial is really the best to begin with and if you fallow the multiple part of it and you still enjoy blender after it you know its for you and if you get bored after 1-2 part of the tutorials you know its not for you but that daughnut is really where its at to begin your journey a 10 parts tutorial with the best biginer information you can get. Blender Guru
@@FulguroGeek I really really really love blender like idk why like it should be hard but it’s not and idk why I love blender. I think it’s mainly because it’s like an empty canvas for me or like legos in the sense that if you can dream it you can make it. The donut tutorial is where I started and it’s amazing(I personally prefer the 2.8 tutorial since that one is photorealistic and I am a huge fan of photorealistic renders whereas the new one is a cartoony one) that tutorial taught me so much and It only reinforced my love for blender. Overall I always ask myself why I like blender because I never really imagined myself doing this kind of thing with vfx work and renders but its the endless possibilities of what I can create that makes me love it and I will continue my blender journey and hope to create even more amazing renders 😀😀😀
Just a tip for people who wanna get better at blender, yt shorts actually have a lot of good tutorials that can show you how to do various things in less then a minute
Don't do the donut It's a waste of time Think of something you want to make and then search for tutorials based on that I made decent progress(started only 3 months ago)
@@Porkupine69 the donut tutorial is basically a beginner’s tutorial about edit mode, modifier, materials, scatter, texture painting, etc. that is implemented into an object so its not a waste of time if what you want is to know what these different tools are, but if you only use blender for example only to sculpt, then its a waste of time
Do the Donut. I did the Donut, was super frustrated with it and made a lot of mistakes. I took a big break after that frustration and I'm progressing much more quickly now. In hindsight, that Donut tutorial taught me the tools of blender. After that, you can start getting into specific things you want to learn and the tools that the donut tutorial provides are going to be applicable all over the place.
I love how everyone goes a different route in learning blender. This progression is definetly one of my favorite since grant and ian hubert and cg geek have really good tutorials and your motion graphics and realistic renders really look incredibly good. Keep it up!
Ngl that last short animation was sick! Really felt like the start to a movie/documentary. Looks really good! Tbh now i want to what that movie even though it doesen't exist XD. It's just super well made! Absolutly amazing! Keep doing what you do 'cause you're great at it!
I just started and I love working with blender it's so interesting, and when I'm not on it I love coming to RU-vid for inspiration and tell my self in a year I could make stuff like that that.thanks so mutch for inspiration
This is amazing! Seeing your skills and style develop was simply joy! Keep up the wonderful work, and I can't wait to see what you make in the future (the Mars sequence is looking fantastic)! (Also it's nice to find another Denis Villeneuve fan ;) )
I just wanna say that I watched a few Blender progression videos before this one and none of them inspired me not even just a bit, as a beginner on blender I found that frustrating but your video, wow, I loved it and I love what you realized, it gives me a lot of inspiration and motivation and I'm thankfull for that
My favorite bit is the fire watch tower. Both the picture taken at night and the shot taken from under the tower are both very nice. Can you comment on what you did here in terms of the shading, or maybe, there is a name for the aesthetic you were going for?
Nice work. Inspiring! I’ve started over at beginner level several times. There are loads of good tutorials out there, but switching from tutorials to truly original work is the tricky part, for me at least.
I cannot even express how cool this was. I watched all the way through! the dominoes ad was so slick. It all was but its nice that you were able to apply what you learned. That's the part I'm still learning to do. Nice job!
You really like space xD I just started yesterday, I'm amazed by how big other people project's are, but it scares me a little bit, it seems to be hard as fck
I am not gonna lie, the last thing in the list made me think that you had modelled a moldy orange, and something was going to come out of it. Great work though :)
Wow. Not Bad, dude! Congrats! 👏 Just did some tutorials yet. Maybe some day I'll be able to model something by my own as well. 😊 Love the one ring btw. 😁
This is amazing I am getting onto blender only having experience with parametric 3d design (Fusion 360) for simple 3d printing stuff. Blender is very different. Also I see another Denis Villeneuve fan !!! Cant wait until I am able to model stuff like that , still on the Doughnut for now.
Amazingly done. Keep going 👍💯👌 I'd probably be in the same level if I stayed consistent. But my job doesn't leave me anytime for working on blender tho 😑
I wanna see if I can do all this under a year or within months. I stay up every night working on my 3D skills , then sleep half the day and repeat, writing pages and pages of notes and useful information.
