Lean into your nose and centre yourself over the board while landing. If you problem is that your board flying away from you and make sure your back foot is just behind your back bolts.
Know your nollies, stand nollie heel position, do nollie, spread your feet. Front foot where a kickflip foot would go, back foot where a heelflip should go. Just land with the legs beside the board until you feel comfortable enough to just bring the spread back to the board
hey i was wondering how do you get the foot you flick with back on the board because my flicking(front foot) foot isn’t going on the board but i can get a good rotation and flip it’s just i can’t get my front foot to land on the board. any tips?
It’s all in the back foot positioning, in the pocket of the tail with the toes gives you a good scoop. Having your shoulders already facing the direction you’re going helps too.
The open shoulder thing is like the entire key to this trick but its so hard to explain to someone who isn’t doing the trick themselves instead of standing forward you almost stand sideways skipping half the rotation
I have learned that trick two days ago and what he just said would have saved me so much time and effort. Those feet positions are the truth, nothing but good info from this man and isn't trying to market himself with too much talking etc
You are exceptionally good at leaning onto the switch front leg right after flicking. Usually people can't do it but keep leaning towards the flicking leg.
❤❤❤❤ oh I am going to get so good at switch front side flip now 😂 thanks Ben you’re the most informative and enjoyable to watch! You ,hater ,Dan are the bestest 😂
Yours look so chill and centered, i can only land them when I lean super far back. It feels like I'm almost going to slip out because I'm leaning so far on my back foot and I still sometimes land too far on the nose.
I need to relearn fs flips. It used to be my favorite flip trick. I lost all my flip tricks when I changed my board and shoes in 2014 right before a Barcelona trip and stopped skateboarding after that. I’ve gotten into skating again and tried so many boards with different concaves and steepness in kicks and wheelbases and I’m finding my way back now. Your videos about trucks and wheelbases helped me a lot
Man I gotta know is Carroll one of your favorite skaters? Because you seriously are like a regular foot version of the 🐐 💪🏾💯. Your style is hella dope ✊🏾
Just landed my first one up a euro bout a week ago, still gotta get one on flat, the euro felt like it gave me more time in the air to let it flip and get over it
What helped me is that my body is already 90 degrees turned when I start to do the trick. (my clip in my shorts section, you can see i'm already turned)
Dude, i suck at them. Now im 42 years old, I aint even trying to jump at all. Transition is it, some slappies also. But when i was a teenager those were the two things I would do. just as he says
It is a new style of the front side flip? I remember back in the day, the frontside flip was doing a hard flip and rotating tour body 180 degrees but the board goes between your legs
That’s been called a Muska flip often in the last decade. The way Chad Muska popularized doing vertical fs flips. This is more of a turn 180 horizontal hardflip. You can definitely get this style of hardflip over things easier like if you’re trying to do one up a set or over a bump to bar. Muska flips usually just don’t pop so high
@@diroos I know that, but it looks more hardflip like than most skaters make it look. It's about the type of flick and heavy friction that happens. It's possible to do a not-so hardflip like frontside flip for sure. And it rotates lower, less vertical.
Lmao...WHAT...? That was literally the definition of a NON-hardflippy frontside flip...😳 Almost perfect frontside flip....soo please explain how that resembled a hardflip at ALL...?
It’s Muska flip or nothing ha there’s no style to a reg fs flip imo. I’m impressed how consistent you are tho. I do like Reynolds fs flip the way it flares out tho. That’s an exception.
I’d say more hybrid where it’s not full illusion flip. It’s gotta overturn just with more actual flip. FS are 1 of those tricks that if done right is my fav trick tbh. The look is epic. If you just 180 and kf down then pivot it just doesn’t speak to me.
