If you ever change the tranny fluid in that truck DO NOT use that "high mileage ATF" in it. Its fine for the transfer case, but in that trans you want Dexron VI. Preferably the AC-Delco brand.
@@ClassALiving Its not the right fluid for your trans. GM uses Dexron fluid. Ford uses Mercon. Different viscosity and additives. The walmart high mileage stuff is a "universal" ATF thats supposed to meet the specifications of both. Which is impossible since they are different viscosity fluids. Transmissions are very sensitive to fluid pressure. Use the correct fluid. The universal crap causes more problems than it solves.
Hi Nathan, while probably not true for your '93, my 2006 2500HD requires a GM additive to be included in the front & rear differentials (& transfer case too I believe) after a fluid change.. regards, Dennis
