GREAT VIDEO LETHAL question tho please. DO THESE ROCK GUARDS WORK ON AN 18 SS THAT HAS THE LOWER GROUND EFFECTS SIDE SKIRTS? THX AGAIN ENJOY YOUR STUFF
Just installed mine the only complaint is they should package additional plastic pop pieces not sure what they’re called exactly but other than that they’re great!
I have to say I'm not a fan of rock guards on anything even on a truck but these actually look good. If I get some wider wheels in the front that make me concern with throwing rocks then I will defiantly purchase these without second guessing. Thanks Matt and also happy for you brother I think the channel def just got more exciting, way to revamp!
I’m looking to purchase a set for my 22 ZL1. Do I have to do any drilling? I was confused by what you had said haha. The fronts are just clips now with the new ones?
@@Lethalgarage I was looking at ACS and it tells me I need to drill into the felt.. so just wondering. No drilling at all, just factory locations & clips correct?
Hey leathal i kinda know what makes the uglynes of the 19 ss camaro and how to fix it i try to draw it in the next days if you replace the flowtie to where it belongs to it helps alot in my eyes ☺️
Hey bro love yr vids I have s 2018 camaro and it has a tic coming from underneath the motor it drives me crazy and I think I hear it on other camaro's on video I don't have another around here to listen to do u here that on your car
As always, thanks for the video! Do these work about the same as the GM color-matched splash guards? I like these much better but I'm curious to know the difference. Thanks!
Hey Matt, great content (as always) do you know how these work with the ZL1 style side skirts ? I watched you rear guard vid a while ago and saw how that worked, so just wondering. Also if you know, do the GM rock guards work with the ZL1 sideskirts. I only ask cause your the man with all the know how. Thanks again bud.
Big improvement over the originals but still don't like the fact that you can clearly see the tape line. The tape is just going to attract dirt and crap over time and look progressively worse as time goes one. They need a molded design that hugs the lip like the GM pieces or better yet. Design something that works with the GM pieces. Wouldn't buy these. Sorry guys.
This might be anal, but I've always struggled with fastening those types of metal clips on to painted (especially steel) body panels. I realize that it is the back side, but we all know moisture gets everywhere, and those (metal) clips almost always have little pointed teeth/burrs to hold them in place. You see where I'm going with this. We're trying to extend the life of the paint, NOT create a new spot where corrosion can begin. I got a pair of similar front rock guards with those clips; but the burrs are only on one side. Directions say to use the burr-side on the body panel side. Gonna try doing the opposite and flipping the burrs to the front...and I'll use additional office-type binder clips to supplement if I have to. Might stand out just a bit more, but I'm okay with that.
Sorry bro, love your channel but the ZL1 Addons splash guards are shit. RUN from any product that uses TAPE anywhere. Many better products out there since this vid 4 years ago.
