I'm a member of Front Sight, and after this bankruptcy, I will absolutely refuse to be associated with the new company. If Ignatius Piazza is involved, they will just cancel my membership again though another bankrupcy, and take all my money.

They get the curriculum when they purchase the assets. And if they integrate the current staff, they inherit their experience with said curriculum. Pyramid scheme perhaps, but they had their act together for training. Been there 14 times for most of their shooting platforms and ALWAYS had a good experience. I think the most popular will be the simple $200 membership and then a per day based on how often you can get there. They and the public are both looking for the "sweet spot" for what they will offer vs. what we are willing to pay. They also have a small airstrip they could develop on property....hmmm. Life Member upgraded to Director, but due to cancer etc… I never got to use it and just today discovered about the scandal / bankruptcy. My gut always felt Ignatius Piazza was a snake-oil salesman notwithstanding the many excellent instructors, staff, and members. There is no such thing as something for nothing. Life lesson.

I'm a/was frontsight Life member, have not been out there for a while do to life changes and just learned about the bankruptcy,thus out of the loop, they Offered great services and enjoyed my times out there. I learned alot about shooting more than anywhere else, but I always thought the business model was shaky at best, and the whole thing was too ambitious for its own good. Its a real damn shame its over, I least have memories and skills left over from it.

hmmm, so PF is based in texas near piazza, uses a goofy special target system and will purchase everything, sell memberships and want to develop rv camping...but without current "lifetime" FS members. I can't be the only one who sees the obvious going on here.

I'm not a lawyer but I believe if the plan isn't voted for one alternative could be that the assets are liquidated and the creditors are paid out from the proceeds.

Frontsight's website is still active, so that means people are buying memberships RIGHT NOW! Crazy. What I want to know is, what happens if you go take a course RIGHT NOW, before the new rules go into effect? Also, for 2023 and 2024 we have free membeship, right? So, do we still pay for courses at $250/day or $500/day? What is the point of a membership if you are paying a huge fee for each course? Where's the discount?

That's a great name for a company going bankrupt. IYKYK. . . . . (If you don't know, "prairie fire" was the code phrase used for a distress call during the Vietnam War. Teams in contact that were being overwhelmed by enemy forces would call "Prairie fire!" over the radio to get close air support and emergency evacuation. I mostly know it from reading books about Green Beret/Special Forces troops and MACV-SOG teams, but it might have been used by conventional troops/"regular Army" too.)

It was more like a Ponzi scheme because Piazza would sell you membership multipliers for cash. You have a "Level 1" membership? For $1000 he will upgrade you to "Level 2" and give you 10 "Level 1" memberships to give away or sell to others. You have a "Level 2" membership? For $2000 he will upgrade you to "Level 3" and give you 30 "Level 1" memberships to give away or sell to others. And so on. I knew of one guy who had something like 10,000 memberships to hand out or sell (in theory). In fact, so many other people had dozens or hundreds of memberships to sell. The basic laws of supply and demand caused memberships to be greatly devalued
