Thanks to Timothy Christopher for being my leader in this video. Airplane Charleston is big, dramatic, and very low energy. And once you get familiar with this position, you'll find it all over the place! Play around with it and see what you can do!

Hi Laura! Thank you for your videos! About the last part of sailor kicks (and video coming out), i'm really interestend in the kicks: i see you do the old style sailor kicks with the outer leg, while normally all teachers teach the kick step - kick step walking around. Can you exlplain in your next video if this is leadable and how? Thank you! Love you!

Yes, I'll definitely talk about this. I like both styles a lot. Kick step is definitely easier (in my opinion). I think the single kicks are a bit flashier if you can do them well. I think it's totally fine for one partner to do one and the other do the other. I think the feel is slightly different, but not so extreme that it makes the step uncomfortable. If I want to do the same as the lead, in addition to the feel, their feet are literally in front of my face, so it's easy to see which one they are doing as well.

@@LauraGlaess Thank you for your answer! ♥️ Also, if you are interested, I've talk about it last week with one of my friend and he told me that in a workshop Todd Yannacone said that if the leader keep the follower tight with his right hand it would be difficult for the follower to do the kick step footwork with the inside leg, so it's a kind of leading the out kicks. What do you think? Thank you Laura, i love your dedication in teaching and above all in preserving the black american culture in lindy hop!
