Embark on an unforgettable journey along the Frontier Pathways Scenic and Historic Byway located in southern Colorado! We travel from Colorado City to Wetmore via State Highways 165 and 96! This picturesque route offers stunning vistas of the Wet Mountains and lush valleys. Along the way, we pass through portions of San Isabel National Forest. Among the notable sights on the route is Bishop Castle. This impressive one-man project was initiated by Jim Bishop in 1969, with all the construction carried out using just a wheelbarrow and shovel.
