Honestly I just wish they hadn't added the damn Pikachu jumpscare at the end of the song. It just ruins the whole melancholy, hopeless vibe for a cheap scare.

I love that around 1:20 you start hearing long notes that taper off slowly and hauntingly when they end, sounding very ghostly and mournful. Like they both know there's no coming down from that mountain, this is where their stories end.

Freezing to death is always a concept that's scared the shit out of me. This song somehow manages to perfectly personify how agonising it actually is to be too cold. Side effect, now every time the temperature drops below 0 this starts playing in my head.
Tbh, the thing that scares me is starving to death. Just knowing you're gonna die, as the pain and hunger gets worse and worse, you get weaker and weaker. Worst part is, it takes *2 months* to starve to death. At least with freezing, it only takes a few hours.
I like just how wonderfully this song captures the feeling of the creepypasta itself. Combining this melodramatic last stand of a song, in a situation where both Blake and Red are surrounded by the bodies of their dead pokemon with their pokedex entries detailing just how foolish the both of them were just adds to it imo.
This song man This is the proof you dont need some thumping overpowering drums or instruments just to make a good song it's so somber, hopeless, and slow. But that's just what makes it such a classic. Tied with death toll for best song honestly.
I'd put at the top of B-Tier, solely because Death Toll, Shitno, Perish, Amusia and Dissension are such major pop-offs that I can't not put them in S or A.

I don't think I could fit all I like about this song in a single youtube comment no matter how hard I tried. The chromatics and melodies are amazing, and the song is generally high quality. Past that, there are so many cool things about this, like the cold snowy wind constantly blowing in the background, and the ghostly sounding instrument playing in the background (I don't know exactly what to call it). Everything feels so climactic and atmospheric it's such an impressive song and fully encapsulates what I love so much about the lullaby OST.
My most favorite part is the mechanics. It's super easy to moderate, but challenging at the same time, considering needing to play the song at the same time (for anyone curious, the mechanic is basically a temperature bar that's monitored by a cyndaquil. If you press space, you can reduce it, but it has limited uses. If you use it up it will faint. If it fills up then you die.)
This song is poetic. The melancholic feel of the start, both Red and Gold knowing they will die. The pained look of Tyhplosion, slowly dying but still trying to keep his trainer alive. The coughs and groans Gold makes, the sympathetic nature of Gold and Red, both feeling sorry for eachother. Then, the unexpected shift in tone from saddened to aggressive.
This is such a good song, I really like how it feels like a desolate snowy mountain. The gimmick enforces that feeling with you needing to stay warm to avoid dying from the harsh cold. Scary Pikachu was also a neat addition, alongside Red revealing to have been a zombie the entire time. Solid work on this track Punkett, Lullaby V2 may be cancelled but we still admire everything you’ve done for it!
@@RiffNamedRobin in the original creepypasta, Red appears normal at the beginning and when the battle ends, he appears as dead. Pretty sure it's just implying that Red was dead when you found him and you've been fighting against a dead trainer and his pokemon since the beginning.
The typhlosion in the mod was loyal af. like it was litterally freezing to death but instead of leaving to go on its own it stayed to keep its trainer warm. That's true dedication.

apart from the sound effect of blowing snow, the chimes and generally soft, low melody go a long way to giving that "cold" feeling. It also feels relentless, unending, with the high amount of repetition that builds, especially as the speed picks up post-freakachu. Snow piling up.

Mom found him floating in the water. she knocked on the glass, trying to somehow wake him up. I was sleeping at that moment. When I woke up I went to the bathroom. she said the deimos was gone. I thought that he was lost in our house, but I did not think that he could die. he lay on in a box on the balcony. when I opened the box it was there. the neck is fully extended, the legs are bent. I cried. I cried more than I have cried in my entire life. I thought that "maybe he is sleeping? maybe mom didn't understand something?" I wanted to wake him up somehow, but I was so scared to touch his body. my friend's body. a friend I took care of the best I could. I put the box in the bag. I wanted to bury him next to the lake. I went there, I didn't care if I got sick, got frostbite, I just go and bury it. there was solid ground, very damn solid ground. I dug the hole for an hour and a half. I put the box down and buried it. Deimos, if you can hear, if you can understand me, tell me that those rustles that I heard from the balcony are just my paranoia, neighbors, rats, cockroaches, but not you. that you really were dead, not asleep. that my mother did not lie to me. that you didn't die from the -40 degree cold on that balcony. that you died painlessly and quickly. we love you Deimos and we will miss you. your brother misses you too. They keep saying monochrome is better.. this song really goes well for the theme, meanwhile monochrome is like "terror mod? who cares, time to dance, wanna give me a h a n d?"
@@GhostWithAGun69 for monochrome the second part for V2 helps a bit with the horror elements but in terms of eeriness, frostbite is probably the best. But my heart HAS to go out to death toll for best song overall.
Honestly, This song would go at the top of B tier for me. It's a great song but it's not as much of a pop-off as songs like Shitno, Perish Monochrome, Dissension and Amusia.
The one thing I love the most about this song is that it sounds...dead, But in a good way. Two trainers, broken beyond repair, only held together and forced to live upon the earth by an unknown force (pun entirely intended). Their pokemon share the same fate. A slow and meaningless battle as the two send out their destroyed pokemon, as its the only thing they can do. Their hollow eyes staring each other down, knowing that they're both cold. First there was white, then black.
I think what's most horrifying about this song is that you can feel the terror of trying to survive just a little longer. Singing the song of your imminent doom to a person, no, body that doesn't exist, hoping if you scream loud enough, that you'll last. If you hang on just a few seconds more, someone will come to your assistance. If you keep warm enough, you might be able to barely get away. But that doesn't happen. And it never will. What you don't know is that you're jamming out to the cries of dead men. Dead men who sung their tracks of forgotten legacy, one last time. Hoping that someone out there is hearing their calls. I think the long notes only accentuate that feeling of barely surviving, because each long note siphons out so much of your energy to keep warm that it drags the note off pitch.
It started to snow quite badly where I live. So I put this on and started walking home with this on full volume. 1:00 really puts a perspective on snow now.
it really sucks seeing what happened, but there's not much else we can do other than appreciate what work was put into the mod. with that said, great song dude. i havent read up on the mount silver creepypasta yet, but this perfectly captures the overwhelming feeling of dread and hopelessness that the area this takes place in emanates. plus it's just genuinely one of the best songs in the mod as many others have said.

The Melodic melancoly and hopeless feel of the song, In contrast with the situation that is happening between gold and red, in the middle of a snow storm, gold is still fighting for a little bit of heat to warm while his almost dead typhlosion warms him up with his little flame, fighting for survival until it rewinds again.. in this infinite loop of suffering and pain that gold is goig through, over, and over, and over again... this song surely is a masterpiece..

this song I can relate to, winter is a great time, but walking out there in the 10 - 20's can make you feel alone and isolated. and sometimes even afraid, thinking of what would happen if you stayed out there for too long.
Without a shadow of a doubt, this is one of my favorite FNF songs ever. I just love how absolutely spot on the tone is with the scenario that it exists to represent. It's bleak, but it still has a fighting rhythm to it.

I can't begin to describe how fuckin smooth this one is. Everything lines up with the beat, the instrumental is up there as one of the best, and don't even get me started on how clean of a tone change it is after Pikachu jumpscares you.

Damn... Almost one million views... (Currently at 986K) I must say, I never played FNF, but its musics always fascinated me, from vanilla to fanmades... Frostbite is one of them... Because... I can identify to it... I own a legit cartridge of Pokémon Soul Silver with 500 hours on it for the first model of the NintendoDS, since 2016 I play it from time to time... My starter is a Cyndaquil named "Espinhoso" (Prickly in English, and yes, I give some silly names to my Pokémon). But anyways... He's now a full grown Level 71 Typhlosion, the only fire-starter I like, we went on countless journeys together... I can even say he's my best friend... I love him... The other members of my team will also be forever in my heart, but Espinhoso is special... I identify with this song because there was this time, when I was arround 13 years old, I tried to battle Red. I was nervous... Sweating... Hands shaking... My heartbeat and breath were super fast... I eventually lost... And got somewhat traumatized... But... There was hope... I grinded more... Work is the secret for success... And so it was... I leveled up my team all the way up to Level 70, and since my 17th birthday was getting close (I was born at 3rd March 2005), I decided to challenge Red... 03/03/2022 - I finnaly am a 17 year old boy, and there's only one thing to do, defeat him... I climbed the cold Mt. Silver with Espinhoso. Cold is my weakness, but his warmt kept me alive and more confident. After some minutes of climbing with him, I finnaly reached the top, and there Red was... Saved, switched to my Tyranitar, and pressed A... I felt the exact same sensations I did 4 years ago... But... I... I WON!!! I couldn't believe myself... I defeated the True Champion! I almost cried of happyness... My voice showed that, my eyes were filling in with some tears... But I finnaly crushed my fears... The snow stopped, and the sun warmed up the top... Thank you so so much for reading this... It wasn't easy... god, i love everything about this song. the atmosphere, the chromatics, the music itself, and especially the art. i love how scared Gold (or Blake in this case) looks and how depressed Red feels in the first half of the song, this is without a doubt one of my top favorites from hypno and maybe even fnf mods in general
This is me with my long-ass exam texts again. I cant describe how much I love this song, its simply perfect, I dont care how many people say "Brimstone/shitno/dissension is better !!! " this song is just better. Why?, you can feel their emotion, you know what information they're trying to give with each line of chart, you know they'll die in the most painful way, even if gold's only pokemon is alive, trying to keep you warm from the frostbite, you know your typhlosion will soon die too. You know that all their effort to stay alive is useless and its just painful watch them try to survive an impossible situation, its melancholic and supposed to make you feel sad,and ask how the hell were they'll foolish enough to enter an snowy mountain, for both of these two pratical zombies, and it does the best it could with that freaking perfect chromatic and instrumental that somehow makes me feel empty and hopeless. This song gives me goosebumps everytime I play it and I've already played it 1000 times, hell, you can even allude this with the stages of grief and it makes perfect sense within this situation. Its like Innuendo said, its one of ,if not, the best song in FNF modding.
for me, it's the 2 best songs in the mod the only other songs I hold anywhere near the same pedestal as the lullaby V2 mod are a few from the sonic .exe mod and indie cross.

I love how they really thought about the sound design, you being able to hear wind blowing in the background really showing how desolate the mountain is and how there is no hope of escaping.
Punkett does an amazing job building the setting in this music as well as give it the mood of absolute despair and melancholy, that there is no hope as you are destined to freeze to death along with the Pokémon you traveled with for a long time. This one is one of my favorites in the mod if you couldn’t tell
