@@stupit467 Righteous Denunciation was the law wich pushed me over the Edge during TFOWH and enabled these Sound Clips and related track. I rarely do Faith but this time it just felt right while everything was about to explode and this guy was still sounding so hopeful while this really mellow track was playing while everyone was fleeing _really_ simply was fantastically depressing...
You know in hind sight there is more then one generator and city in Frostpunk, so you know at one point there will be wars that breakout over the deposits are reachable and usable. As while yes the sun in that game maybe dimming it will at least take another few thousand years to a few million years to go out. But also following that line of thought I wonder how many generators are their and from what's been seen through the trailer for Frostpunk 2 it seems that the cities we will be leading will be oiled powered.
You know what, thinking about it, faith sounds no better than order, maybe even worse. That very gong-like way the churchbell rings, almost like a whipcrack, and the incredibly sancitmonious voice the announcer is putting on makes it feel like the people are being slowly brainwashed into their purpose. At least order is honest about their approach, and will simply tell you if they consider you a menace to soeciety rather than trying to trick you into thinking you are a chosen one or something.
It definetly does in stage 3, I'd argue stage 1 and most of the time 2 sounds relatively peaceful, and at that time is more moral, at least for me. Faith sounds really good and uplifting until you take temple guards, while order feels unnerving since the beginning, the moment I picked it I couldn't resist the feeling my haven turns into gulag
I guess that’s what they were trying to do with the two paths. Faith and Order are two different things, but both inherently good, but in excess they become mere perversions of the values they were originally. It’s like how a virtue, when in deficit or abundance can eventually be transformed into a vice due to misapplication (Sorry if this sounds weird, I’m just applying some of my religious knowledge)
Interesting. Early Faith simply consists of retiring the work whistle in favor of ringing the slightly more gentle church/temple bells, but _Order,_ from the very start, replaces the work whistle with a _louder_ work whistle, and the man who makes the announcements (who seems to be working via radio/PA now) is _already_ more gung-ho than his Neutral days.
Aaaaactually that is only triggered once you Sign the Law Guard Tower frostpunk.gamepedia.com/Guard_Stations_(Purpose_Law) Before that it is simply the Neutral Announcer again. Wich makes sense as Order is pretty direct in this Stage, it is a Survival Situation afterall. It isnt that much more strict then Faith though especially with the Foremen and Morning Gatherings also the use of "Comrades" in the speech makes it more Communal anyway
The P.A guy deserves his own story since he was the same P.A in last autumn, I would love to see his story from site 113 all the way to the last city it would be interesting.
@@MasterOfTheGearI heard the marching at the very beginning, for a few hours of that I thought I was just hearing or adding the marching but than I noticed that it wasn't my mind adding noises, than I'm like it's the game lol
I always found the differences between 'crossing the line" and staying in faith 2/order 1 interesting. When you go to Faith 3 or Order 2, the people do not follow your chosen purpose, instead they follow you, as you are above all else. It's similar how in new vegas, it's pointed how the legion follow Cesar, and not Cesar's ideology. This means that when Cesar or the Captain inevitably perish, the people will be left in disarray and will likely collapse.
It's an interesting thought to have now that Frostpunk 2 will be about making an entire city survive after The Big Storm passed and now have oil. Wonder how much time will be after the first game; no matter which path the jump from a growing community to a "stable" city will be bloody
@@lordwarlockthangwrath8662 pretty sure he's the same bloke in work/end shift anoumnet in last autumn in the comment section where that guy was explaining way the engineers doctrine is best one(in a lore perspective)
neutral: neutral, what did you expect faith 1: neutral, but little bell faith 2: now pope took control, talks about the Lord faith 3: louder bell, pope directs the focus from the Lord to the captain (us) order 1: louder horn, angrier guy and now he talks from a radio thingy order 2: meet the goal or you are going to be the coal, order mixed with faith (faith in the captain)
"Work time, get moving" "Get going! Time to earn your bread" "Get to work! Move, people! There's plenty to do" "Move! Time to get to work" "The workshift starts" "Work time, get back to work" "Work day ends, it's time off" "End of shift - go rest, all who can" "Finish your labors, people - the work day is up" "Gather your tools, the shift is ending" "Night is coming, put down your tools" "Time to rest, folks. Work's out for today" "Work day ends, it's off-time" (Faith 1 lines are pretty much the same as neutral, just with church bells added) "A new work day starts, in the name of god" "Go to work. Lord be with us as we labor today" "Workshift begins. May the lord save all workers from harm" "Time to rest. Remember those who work overtime in your prayers" "Today's labor is done - thank the lord." "Work is over for today. There's time for harvest and time for sleep" "Workshift begins! May lord preserve our great leader" "Get to work! Praise our glorious leader with your labors" "Work starts! All workers, double your effort for our divine leader" "People of god: our wise leader declares work done for today" "Your labor is done." "Praise our inspired leader! You may retire for the night." "No time to waste - we've got work to do" "Come, lads! We must work harder" "Order, people! Let's march to work" "Work day end. It's time for rest" "Rest time - work is done for the day" "Work day is up. Return your tools" "Our leader calls us to work. Slackers will be severely punished" "All thank our leader for this bright new day! Now march to work." "Work is virtue! Praise our great leader" "By order of our great leader, work shift is over. March to your quarters!" "Attention! Shift is over. Proceed to quarters. Praise our glorious leader." "All crews: turn over your tools. The shift is over. Glory to our great leader" some of the punctuation might be off but that's it
Order path is genuinely less scary than the faith path. A secular dictator can be easily replaced and have a new society built. Yet religious faith is too powerful to be manipulated. It's the choice between a king who's just like thousands that came before VS a new cult born in the apocalypse.
Faith is almost calming, feels like parents that are strict but truly love and care for you Then order just comes in blaring a horn and ordering you around like a soldier
