I take down the Winterhome scenario on Survivor mode in less than 22 minutes and 51 seconds. At the time of recording this it was a world record and was submitted to speedrun.com
I loose 20 people in the first 3 hours in game unless the medical post go up straight away and then there is no recovering from that. Because you lose your hope and that is it game over.
Everything looks so good I have hope our captain has some plan and we all be saved. Le captain with 25 engineer and 50 children: You guys might have to rethink about that part.
I know I'm a bit late to this vid, but I've picked up the game 2 weeks ago and it quickly became one of my favourites. Naturally, I'm going for all the trophies (Playstation achievements) and your speedruns helped an incredible amount in clearing the survivor difficulty related trophies. The stratgies you used were so cool to implement myself, I would've never been able to come up with them 😂 Sub earned, I'll be excited to see the next Frostpunk run you do, or any other game.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad the run helped you through the scenario. Frostpunk is brutal but that's also what I love about it. I appreciate the sub! GL on the achievement hunting.
Took me like 30+ tries, many of which i lost to hope somewhere around day 4-6 and today i finally completed it, the last achivement! I focused on getting to weather station asap to open more med tents sooner and I actually managed to recover from the 0 hope ultimatum (lost to it yesterday probably by 0.5%, the blue hope line was on the 15% requirement but i got banished anyway) Absolutely loved watching these runs, and i hope to see you run FP2 soon :)
I dont usually comment on videos, but I gotta give it to you, thank you vry much for those survivor videos. Ive been trying to get all the succes on ps4 and without your start set up I would still he banging my head against a wall, so thank you very much !
There is something weird here. When I start this on survivor no matter what I do up to like 8 people die within the first 2 hours and I fall into the red zone and you can't get enough hope to not lose.
Reaching the 50% hope in this scenario is really hard. I had a lot of attempts fail because I missed that 50% milestone it requires you to meet. Focus on getting everyone who is sick into a med tent as soon as possible. Spread out your engineers (2 or 3 per tent) and build some care houses. The care houses free up medical tent space allowing you to get more people treated. Oh and try your best to clear the ruins and find all of the "voices in the ruins." In this run I use the Temple to get past that 50% mark, I personally found the faith tree to be the easiest. You can beat it! just go slow and plan ahead. GL!
I feel like Winterhome Survivor Full Dreadnought must be the most challenging run in the game. I tried it myself and I noticed this map has pretty low amount of steel (and its income) and managing it is very technical and basically it is incredibly close in the end. I'd love to watch your run of this! (If you're not done with Frostpunk completely)
Well after more attempts than I would like to admit, I finally figured out the steel production. I think I figured out how to do a full dreadnaught on survivor. I will stream attempts soon.
just spent like 2 days during the holidays trying to beat this before looking up any guides and whatnot. it was so hard. my strategy was terrible and i just barely made it
It's all about step by step memorization. It take a lot of practice to get it right and even then I usually make a mistake or two. This run was my 129th attempt but it was a good once =). Thanks for watching!
@@edwardcullen3251 no he didn't. My issue was I didn't practice enough on extreme. This run was like his 129th playthrough attempt. I ended up practicing and got it in 25 minutes. You have to sign rad treatment so fast after filling pub house n turning on gen. Im talking like quick.
i know it's been a while but it's not worth it to copy his playstyle if you just want to beat survivor for a trophy/achievement or just to beat it. i've tried multiple times and something unexpect would always happen, so instead i just watched his speedruns to learn how to deal with different situations, and then i tried to take things slower while following methods I learned. doing it this way I finished new home, refugees and arks on survivor in 2 days with 2/3 tries per scenario at max. simply following his vids and copying his playstyle was not only exhausting but also worked poorly.
@@haserpl2367 I've tried doing it on just extreme with little success. Winterhome survivor is the only achievement that eludes me. It's the first 5 days that are the hardest. I've tried it over a dozen times n still fail. I appreciate the feedback.
Why fill the h huts before start day 1 ? This will mess with the workroutine i heard they wont start working till later on the day right ? Or are you wanting that r food production from those last 3 hours ? Idk
I can't help but think you get different sequences of events in your game than I do. I deliberately slowed down your game and did the steps according to you, and you have a different sequence of events. While you are setting up the first techniques in the workshops, I do the same thing, but by that time 5 people are already dying on me and gradually increasing. In a few hours I will receive an event to insulate the dwelling. People are still dying. I stopped here because it's still thin. No matter what I do, other procedures, at the same time people die.
You can launch the dreadnaught as soon as 25 Eng arrive there. It's a bit weird but the scenario allows it. I couldn't remember how it worked and just played through it again to be sure. I'm running the latest version from Steam.
In case you're still monitoring this comment section: why did you build 6 care houses when 3 would be enough to hold the 40 amputees you had and still have 20 beds to spare?
Wtf you left so many behind lmao. If you're trying to speedrun it theres an option to not repair the blown up generator with a steam core. The generator just blows up and the missions finishes anyway without having to do all the evacuation crap. Geeez
