Imogen went to a university of production school to learn how to record, produce and master her own recordings. Nothing but respect for her as a female artist and fellow musician. The whole Frou Frou album is a GEM. EDIT: Speaking of which, a similar artist Jem, has a similar style and some good music as well.
Big Imogen Heap fan. This album is great, but all her work is so amazing. Imogen is an English artist, releasing albums since the mid 90s. Frou Frou was a one off colaboration, but her solo work is all wonderful. Hide & Seek from her 2nd album (Speak For Yourself) is a well known track. She also did an amazing collaboration with IAMX - My Secret Friend , from Kingdom of Welcome Addiction. My favourite track from her is "glittering cloud" from the Plague Songs (Various artists). You should definitely check that out.
It sounded like Imogen Heap to me, who I know mostly from her singing with guitarist Jeff Beck - so I looked it up and it was a duo with her on vocals. See her sing as one of Jeff Beck's guests on his Live at Ronnie Scott's performances on RU-vid. Her song "Blanket" has some tasteful Jeff Beck guitar on it.
Love Imogen. Not my "normal" listening but she is so talented. With reference to R.Gray, Blanket with Jeff Beck is one of my near future requests. Saw her some years ago, she was solo with her brilliant Mi.Mu gloves. She created some great soundscapes and was so impressed with the gig. Great choice April.
Very cool! Totally chick-vibe, in the best possible way. Or am I fkd up? I love 'em. Worthwhile collabo, whatevs. Imogen's name I know, likely seen her w/ Jeff Beck. Eyes opener. tyvm.
@@SightAfterDark I have this one bookmarked in my YT music collection, but had forgotten it, so thank you. Really special performance. Also watched your great reaction to it 😊
