I think that Smashinator 5 000 000 is not good at all for making ice fishing holes. It scares all the fish at least 2 kilometres away...😁

Ice does flex to a small degree, on a lake I would have expected it to be more resilient to be honest. Though, maybe the ice simply did not have time to flex as the whole thing was over so fast! The gopro footage from in the molten ice was the best, but the slow-mo was great too xD

Finally a frozen lake video. And such a great one, but at least Lauri did not have to go complete into the water to retrieve the piston. As it was with red hot. And yes, the slowmo was really great, but I also liked the under water shots!

Pity this is the last one of the year; if the lake fully froze over, I'd love to see how far that piston would go if you just pointed the thing up at an angle. Maybe put the piston in upside down and tie a long bright rope to the handle to aid in recovery?

Great fun video! Although I'm not sure how many viewers have a readily available frozen lake, high pressure air tank and pneumatic cannon available! Next video I can think of two fun options. 1. Turn the pneumatic cylinder so it's pointing UP. See how much altitude your "hammer" gets. 2. Horizontal and launch essentially a luge sled across the lake, see if it makes it all the way.

At first I thought the ice on the lake was as thick as your first block of ice. I thought if that is true there is no way it is going through the lake. Now that we see the ice was actually much thinner I can totally see how it would go right through. Great video! Very much like the Red Hot Steel vs. Frozen Lake classic 20M+ view video!

They have used Phantoms for some shooting days but they rent those in and they are expensive (both to rent and to buy). The Kron Technologies Chronos cameras are not quite as high spec but it's good to have a much cheaper option at the "really good enough for many things" end of the market.
