Nice job! I learned several things from your video. I will be setting up a Mig-29 in the near future and wanted a stabilized taileron mix, now I have a better idea how to get there. I have never used flight modes but now that I have seen them in action I may give flight modes a try in place of my normal hi, mid, low rate set up. I never guess the right weights for things like flap/elevator compensation, but discovered that you can assign the weight to a pot and adjust on the fly to get it just right then convert value to lock it in.
Great video, not sure I understand why you would need to deselect flight modes as the are linked to your switch position. But honestly thanks for putting out content.
I'm confused. Something happens at the 17:00 mark and the video "jumps" from "Ailerons" (top left corner of screen) to "TAilerons" and the outputs are different?
Great, I have been looking for a tutorial for setting up flaperons and tailerons in Frsky X20. Is that a Freewing 70mm F16? How did you mod it to have full stablizer?
That is the 70mm. I have a post on FB that's pretty self explanatory. I used the plastics parts kit from Freewing F22 60mm and there are a couple of stab hinges in there that work. Basically cut the horizontal stabs off glue in some wood at thebold hinge points, fill in with light weight spackle lightly sand and paint. For the hinges carvevout the foam to fit,.
I'm sorry I just seen this. I need to check the original video. I'm not the best editor, but I do not cut to different frames that way. I'm not sure what happened. I apologize.
That is one way to look at it. When I talk to people that are considering making a switch I often make them aware that this system is super capable. With that comes complexity and a slight learning curve.
