I saw Fruit Bats no less than 5 times from like 2009-2011 they were always touring and I always happened to be in a city they were playing. The Ruminant Band was such a defining record of that time in my life. It was such a dark time for kids like me just getting out of university trying to figure out WTF to do with our worthless degrees after a crushing economic resssecion. Fruit Bats was one of those artists that I could put on and smile a little.
