In California, mango trees grow very slow. While grafted trees grow extremely slow. This is why many are looking to grow out seedlings here for their vegetative vigor. Most seedlings seem to bloom here in as little as 4-7 years at worst.

@@mayi757 the particular tree I'm referring to tries to fruit but they drop, then 60 days later it's flowering again. in 5 seasons I've only gotten one mango to grow to maturity off that tree.

Ford is a very good tasting mango, and they are pretty big. Mesk, is a fabulous tasting mango. I am growing a seedling of Mesk in Southern California. Gorgeous huerta on this tour. Kudos to AlexS.

Awesome video again, of course! I've been trying to figure out what kind of a mango I can grow where I live in hawaii, I get between 150 and 200 inches of rain per year. Was thinking of trying a couple of Thailand mangoes,..NDM, and Mahachanok... Thoughts anybody? In the meantime I'm trying out a few of their Borneo relatives (Magnifera Odorata and Kasturi) they are tiny seedlings still, but hoping for a real mango

How does the 2024 mango season look as far as yield and quality? I am salivating thinking about my mango order from Alex this year.
@TropicalAcresFarms
@TropicalAcresFarms 6 месяцев назад
It’s going to be a great year judging by the bloom we are already seeing plus the cold weather we are experiencing now which will likely get all the remaining trees to flower. Quality won’t be determined until the weather we receive months from now but it should be a strong season for supply.
