There are some experiences that can't t be duplicated. Not sure I'm seeing quality socialization going on unless maybe at Summer camp led activities which are probably not as academic! I was homeschooled for a year and a half, but then went to public school. It was hilarious how bad public schools are compared to my mother. My little brother has autism, so my mother was too stressed and decided to put me in public school to help focus her energy on my brother which I don’t think is bad, he had a hard time and I’m happy she did that. He was homeschooled for a lot of his life, but due to the laws in place at the time still had to attend a HORRIFIC school district that messed him up big time. Never gave him opportunity. We didn’t want charity, we wanted a chance. Nothing… I started a program as a student to prepare special needs kids for standardized exams and my brother took one, did very well! He’s about to start college at a state school, and wants to become a banker and he wants to travel the world he always says 😂 but anyways I got off topic. Homeschooled kids are rare but they appreciate their families and especially the mothers who do that. My GF was homeschooled all throughout her academics, she graduated two years early and is a college junior (this September) at 18. I’m 19 and about to be a junior. Homeschooling is effective, efficient, and with a mother who loves her child it can be a comfortable place to learn. So as a son who appreciates his mother for her time with me and my brother, thanks for what you did, I hope more people do it, and I’m sure your children love you for it 😊 there’s a great saying in my culture “the mother is always the child’s first and best teacher, because she loves them enough to give them her wisdom, and is wise enough to take the time of day to love them”.

I worked two jobs to put my daughter in a private school. She doesn’t have any problem identifying bullshit as a result and is navigating college with a healthy worldview. Best investment ever.

At least they get to speak publically. Our BOEwouldn't allow me to speak until public was dismissed. The Secretary interrupted me every 15 secs to slowly explain to me that: I only had 5 mins, I only had so much time left, that the meeting will end on time.
Teachers and school board members don’t seem to understand that once they undermine the schools and everyone removes their kids from school they will no longer be needed. Works for me!!!
That can not literally happen, but what needs to happen is ideological separation now. Split the district in two and the tax money. Let them run Woke High and conservatives run schools that actually teach something

After 28 years in Portland we moved to Boise to get away from CRT indoctrination and more. Our daughter is a middle school teacher and could not morally teach this. The last year she taught in Oregon she was forced to teach CRT and said the look on the middle school kids faces was crushing. It is wrong. Thank-you Idaho.

Thank you, parents, for standing up to this attempted reemergence of racism. We need to stop this before it gets too entangled into the curriculum being taught to our children, and future generations. I work for a local school district, so I know how much of this is being discussed by leadership staff behind the scenes. It's terribly unsettling.

While these people are speaking , the only things on the minds of the members of the board are : When can this meeting be over What to do this weekend What's for dinner , ETC. Once they are given power ( by the voters by the way ) they will do what they want regardless of what the parent want and the student need.

I am sad to say that we fell asleep at the watch. Foolish and immature people took over our educational system while we looked the other way. It will take a great concerted effort to change things now. I pray to God that we do make that effort and save the very wonderful country that is the United States.

One day after a meeting I asked him what was so important that he wrote it in his notepad because it looked like it was very important. He said he made a list of snacks for the kids soccer team. I guess it was important for the team. 😆
The school board will continue to support these agendas regardless of what the parents think because there is funding attached to these programs with which to line their pockets.

I am always amazed at school boards who have lost their heads with a little bit of PUWER and then want to bully parents and children. They should be removed and replaced with people who listen to and act upon the wishes od the parents they are supposed to represent.
What I am impressed is that after watching a few videos on RU-vid about these educational problems, I can say that only mothers speak out. Not a single father talking about these problems.
So we are required by law to have our children in a school setting, otherwise there's the Becca Bill to answer to, but then we are told what we can and can't do with our own children when we send them to school. Parents are trapped and we should all walk out of the school system and set up our own.
My school board is trying to criminally charge a bunch of mom's and dad's who spoke out and interrupted our school board meeting. It's a complete joke. They refused to listen and they seem to have forgotten that they work for us!

Parents, if you don't take an ACTIVE ROLE in your child's education, you have NO IDEA what they're teaching them. Schools don't advertise they're teaching such heinous things as CRT, you have to LOOK for yourself at the curriculum, and ASK your child each day on what they learned, help them with their homework, and show up for EVERY meeting with the Teacher. If you find they're teaching ideology, STAND UP and SPEAK UP.

What these ‘teachers’ don’t understand is that “equality” (of opportunity) and “equity” (equality of outcome) are impossible to have at the same time. It’s not a Rubik Cube that can eventually be solved, it’s an indelible law of nature. The best comparison is Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle: where if you measure a particle’s location very precisely it’s impossible to know how fast it’s going. It’s an unbreakable law of nature.

I explain "life isn't fair" to elementary child all the time but I've never heard it expressed to the fools..eh hem, excuse me, the folks on a school board. Maybe they were never told that before. I’m getting involved with my daughters school PTA meetings as soon as she is old enough to attend. I want my daughter to learn the same things I did without having socialism pushed on her… I see how important it now more then ever to be involved with teachers and how they teach.
You can pull your kids out of the school if you don’t like it but the property taxes still need to be paid, or they’ll take your house. The public education system needs a complete overhaul. Vouchers and freedom of choice are the way to go.
