Dallas, I feel as though I should send a care package consisting of Brake Cleaner and Beef Sticks. I can do off-grid camping for a week or two, but more power to you guys for truly living off-grid.
Well, shoot I was pretty frustrated with my carport maintenace situation that I have to set up and break down every time I need to work on my bike. But geez at least I have electricity, running water and a sewer connection! Feeling a lot better about it now! 🙂
Dallas, IN THE FUTURE (lol) drill a little hole in the brass colored part of the seal, and then turn a screw into the hole. Then yank it out with some vice grips!
Not at all. In fact there’s another seal behind it. You could always blow air or use a vacuum while you drill. And drill with the bike upright not on its side.
working on the main drive seals is a totally frustrating experience. I have a KTM freeride that needed a new seal. spent 8 hours working on it, took it for a spin. still throwing oil every ride.
I spray it off as soon as i get home .I look for loose and broken stuff during the week and fix and reassemble till late the night before the ride . repeat
Despite paying taxes I’m shocked that you and I are still responsible for our own water. Others in Canada proclaim it’s their right to just be set up with water for free.
