FRV Emergency Medical Response (EMR) for Baby Henry 

On Thursday 18 June 2020, FRV was dispatched by ESTA (000) to gain entry into a residence. Little did our crew know that they would be required to do a lot more.
Once on scene, firefighters began assisting with the birth of baby Henry. As soon as he was born it was clear he needed help, so firefighters then began performing CPR alongside Ambulance Victoria. After several minutes, emergency services managed to detect a pulse.
Now happy and healthy, emergency services were able to say hi to Henry and catch up with Mum Anna one year later to celebrate his first birthday.
FRV firefighters are trained to provide life-saving emergency medical care (EMR). When you call Triple Zero (000) for a person who is unconscious, not breathing or has no pulse, FRV firefighters respond with the nearest ambulance to make sure we get to you as quick as possible.
