Siren: FS 2001-"DC", 1.9 RPM, 672 Hz
Town: Racine, WI
Location: Janes Elementary School
Test Time: 1st Saturday 4 PM every month
Cycle: 1:17 of alert and attack
Other notes: After Lowell's test, I remembered Racine does their test at 4 PM, and so I made a last second decision to come all the way up here for a test. I wanted to do the T-128, but since I didn't have my tripod and space there was limited, I decided to do one of their 2001s instead, and what better one to do than this one.
Surprisingly, with the plethora of 2001s I've recorded so far, this is the first time I've recorded a Roundback. Nothing really different sound or volume wise from a regular 2001-DC, but just a cooler look.
If you listen closely during both alert and attack, you'll hear the 1000T and 1000, plus the elusive STL-10 that most people thought was inactive. I wasn't sure myself either until I clearly heard it in person coming from that direction.
Racine's system consists of 8 2001s of varying ages, 2 508s, 2 Thunderbolt 1000s, a Thunderbolt 1000T, an STL-10, and a T-128.
