Great video thanks for sharing. My top that I have bought were the Camair Twin Navion, FSReborn 500M, HJet, Flow, enhanced airport graphics, enhanced runway lights. Another great purchase was Navigraph subscription. I’m on Xbox Series X.

Not new for 2023, but my favourite is the Milviz (now Blackbird Simulations) Cessna 310R.

Nice summary of your top 5 MSFS add ons for 2023. Almost makes me want to drop some serious coin on an PC system to take full advantage of these. Then reality sets in, and I remembered that I'm really not an MS ecosystem kind of guy. Still, do you have a zeroeth recommendation for a PC gaming system? I did purchase the C182 RG for Christmas. I'll have to explore it more thoroughly in 2024. Looks like I'll be rerunning your back to basics videos to learn how to use this aircraft. 😉

A safe recommendation would be a PC with a 4000 series GPU or similar. My ageing PC system is only running a 1060 Nvidia GPU and I get decent FPS & overall a great flying experience with it.

In rank order for me - #1 the FlowPro (which I use on every flight) #2 By SonicViz - Aircraft Manager (including controller settings) and Location Manager. #3 AccuSeason #4 the Cessna 182RG #5 (tie) the ATR and the Comanche 250 Honorable Mention - the TDS GTNXi.

The Transall C-160 would have to be in my top five. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I love it, and the developer made major updates to it at least twice.

Anyone who has not included the Comanche form A2A is missing half of this simulator. No other aircraft comes even close. Pure art.

@@Huddison I was about to pull the trigger on this one until I realized they used the exact same engine sounds as the stock asobo one. That is very disappointing for a plane like this.

I totally agree…. nothing comes close to the A2A Comanche. They even made an own flight model and all systems are modeled extremely deep. The TBM is nice, but I always jump back into the Comanche. It‘s the real deal and feels alive and connected.

Great video, and one to look back in years to come. My list is : 1. 182 RG 2. Flow 3. ATR 4. Glasgow Airport (Orbx) 5. Vision Jet (would have been higher if flyable) Although many of these are not from 2023, my journey in flight sim is - hopefully it counts. Wonder how different it will be next year with with MSFS 2024

What do you mean by if flyable?

5. Vision Jet is flyable if your system is robust enough. The Xbox S definitely is not. On the Xbox X I have to make trade offs in order not to over tax the processor, namely it's either live traffic or live weather but not both.

Hello, your 1st place made me laugh. TBM850 ??? This place is supposed to save its state from flight to flight but it simply doesn't work. There is a bug that resets the plane very often. Some plane are supposed to be better, A2A Comanche for example but it's not the plane i like best because its main interest is on the ground. If I had to rate the TBM850 it would be something like 2/5.

@@HuddisonThe plane has recorded 90.7 hours of flights and the engine condition is always 100% (the global failure rate is set to "1x real time") and of course I never had a single failure. It's the plane I use for IVAO IFR tours. The A2A Comanche (95.3 hours of flights) is better but what I wanted to say is that when you're in the air you don't have a lot to do but follow the route. I like flying with the Twin Beech, the Wilga, the Beaver and others tailwheel, it's more challenging.
