Hey Quick Question I guess a seasoned Mod Maker can answer: Is it possible to MOD the Sun and Moon textures/objects? As I think the Skydome looks beautiful but the Sun looks so dull and unrealistic. I would love to see a HD textured blown out sun instead of a soft ball of vanilla icecream.
I just know that 82 studios is always hard at work with quality modding. Can’t wait for the great potential Fs22 has to offer and the final mods to be released for FS19.
Experienced programmer here (retired) but new to XML and FS22 mods. This is one of the best, clearest, to-the-point, succinct and informative tutorials, with superb video capture that I have ever seen so far on RU-vid about ANY HowTo topic. I have a degree in video game design and this video really helped me figure things out. I havent programmed in a bit and I cant wait to start moding for FS22! This video was very informative and it was easy to follow and understand. I am looking forward to checking out your other videos on moding. Also I just thought of this question... do you have a mod manager you are using or are you just using your own created folders in the mod folder in FS22?

@@theoneandonlytk421 hey if you figure it out I'd really love a D17 or D19 Allis Chalmers tractor for pc and consoles. They were made by agco so I don't think they'd mind and fs19 had a Deutz Allis which was basically a newer version of Allis Chalmers but I have a D17 Allis Chalmers tractor I own in real life so it would be awesome to have one on the game!!

I’ve tried so many times to get this to work but, the weight increase on my modded file makes the vehicle unable to drive. But when I put updateMass=“false” to fix it, the mod disappears completely. Any idea what the problem is?
Your tutorial was awesome! I will be watching more of them. I wonder if you can provide an example file for setting up the storepacks or point me to the Giants documentation that explains it. In your video there was obviously more elements not shown and I would certainly like to know more about this feature.
Nice video and helpful. Can I ask how I can change some local files for the trailers or vehicles values and I present like a modes with different stats ??? Only for me . I don't want to upload to any site , just to see the some different specs of this vehicles and trailers. For example RX4 landing with 169 HP
Make a copy of the file you want to change, save the original file somewhere safe, edit the copy and see if it works, if it doesn't revert to the old file.
Thank you very much for the video. I'm approaching modding for the first time, and I'm a little rusty with code. I'd like to start modding from somewhere, instead of an empty file. I'd like, for example, edit an existing tool or building, and play around like editing specs of functions, color, etc. How do I "select" an object in game and start modding?
they definitely used dependencies in fs19. welker farms used the big bud mods as dependencies. and the seasons geo's used the base seasons mod. Unless i misunderstood what you meant

Hi, first off love your MODS and they are great keep up the good work. I am sure you don't really have time to be a trouble shooter for everyone but any idea will help. So in FS22 I was trying to mod the elho scorpio550 stone picker. Wanted to make the pickup 9m to work with 9M lizard MT from Blacksheep Modding for a one pass rock field. I am new to trying to mod stuff so probably just me but I cannot get more than a tiny change in working width. I tried just xml and then in the editor with no luck. I even changed all 3 of the workareas start and width. Any help is appreciated

I guess, in fs19 you could just change the xml line from cultivator to plow on a implement and it would plow but I’ve been told that doesn’t work for fs22
I have an idea for a mod, I program PLC's for a living and have a lot on my plate already I don't think I want to code this... I will... try.. but it'd be cool and I think it'd look better and more stable from a more experienced modder. Add in a currency (Lumber) with that currency we could attach that to structures we add into the game (Timberframe if possible) On top of that we could add in a hunger and survival mod.. the script just loads you back to the nearest autosave/save game when the timer expires. We write in an action for the player with it's own keybind for "eat". Each food type increases the timer with a total time of... whatever would be manageable, probably 72 hours which I'm guessing is broken down into seconds. If there's possibility to disable running at a certain point we'd be set. fuel usage would be increased and equate to realistic usage of the machines (all is on public record). As a phase two, dependent on popularity there could be an addition for animals to be transferred into "food" storage and could be transferred into a shed "place.at.x***y***" the shed would just be named a freezer with some generic box texture as the object. The idea is to create a survival mode that truly adds a sense of loss, so you can actually lose, instead of just being overwhelmed by debt. You combine this and a map like No Man's Land and you've got a bare-bones survival crafting game. With the added benefit of a successful economy. Also decreasing income for crops to a less substantial $400 haul and adding expenses like "Power" "Taxes"... would give the little bit of salt and pepper the survival crafting community loves so much... I hope you see this, I know it's a tall order. But this would be amazing.

Thanks for the excellent intro to the moddesc.xml. I'm having an issues where my mod looks perfect in game but my friend in Multiplayer sees my mod as an all white model, no textures. Have you seen this issue before? Any info is appreciated.
