I'm from Columbia, SC (home of the Gamecocks), but after this game and Fisher's speech is how I knew it wasn't going to be too long for a Championship.
Hey USC, thanks for beating UF in the CWS. I'm very impressed with you baseball program. Hopefully, FSU's new pitching coach can get us back to the CWS. As for football, Jimbo's got us on the right track, sorry it had to be at your expense. Go 'Noles!
You make the best FSU highlight videos. I love how you put Jimbo in at the end like this video and the Miami one. Our record doesn't do our team justice. They are such a great group and they will absolutely be at the top if they keep performing like this. Go Noles!
im a die hard nole fan, but from what ive learned from watching espn for the past 15 years or so, the pros dont know what the hell theyre talking about pre-season wise. ive never seen their predictions come true, but since we do have a beast of a recruiting class, EJ, a beast defense, and a perfect follow up coach to coach bowden i seriously think that espn will be right for once. i feel good about next season. go noles.
This is where my favorite quarterback went besides who ever played at South Carolina at the time jamiest Winston Went now he is at The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I love Them
@bignole7547 Not to mention we are returning 8 starters on both sides of the ball and bringing in the #3 recruiting class with a slew of DB that includes the #1 S Karlos Williams along with others!! Go Noles!!!
whats really awesome is that most of our best defensive players were underclassmen. Can't wait to see the D-line after another year of strength training.
It's won, not one you big dummy. Also, FSU WON with a 1st year HC/coaching staff and their backup QB. All that and still WON by 9. FSU took the W away from SCAR, just ask Lattimore.
@DefLeppard365 Doesn't matter, it was really good for EJ to get some big time game action in there before he had to start this year. Really a blessing in disguise.
JRock - agree with your part about saying SC underestimated/took too lightly my Noles. However, it's the Seminoles that have the far greater potential of those two teams. So although USC could have turned the ball over less and potentially played better, you're completely ignoring the other half of that equation - the Noles could take it up a notch too. The Noles went almost an entire half with an injured QB. Do you recognize how many if our drives stalled due only to QB play? It's a matter of
@saintdeuce Don't see what total yards mean if you don't convert them for points or turn it over. It's not like FSU didn't force these turnovers. I know Garcia is an alcoholic but he wasnt handing it to our defense. And these highlights aren't "skewed" at all. I do FSU highligh videos, hence there only being FSU highlights in this video.
I think Steve Spurrier has been coaching in the SEC too long, and forgot that FSU is....well.....FSU. I dont think he was use to seeing that kinda speed, power and athleticism. Or he just plain forgot about it when he coached at UF.
@skinsallday2130 We did lose our best player.......Ponder went out in the first quarter (don't remember?). And REID only gave us one deep return that turned into 3 points, the others were our D playing lightsout and making you turn the ball over. Also, what won the game was Thompson (our 3rd string RB) running the ball down USC throats. He rushed 25 times for 147 yards (almost 6 yards a carry) and 1 TD.
Lattimore dont go down = Florida State loss. S. Carolinas backup RBs arent worth a shit and they ran all over FSUs ass. As far as Florida State being back... i wouldnt count on it.
You do realize that the Music City Bowl was a result of suspending like 30 players, right? Despite that huge handicap, FSU only lost by 7. FSU 2012 and FSU 2007 were completely different teams, just like Alabama 2009 and Alabama 2003 were completely different teams.
@bignole7547 We will win the ACC next year but Oklahoma will be a tough game at home and as fans we need to be there and make doak louder than ever. We beat OU in that game and we could play for a national title cause OU will be tough next year.
@afallingbomb28 I'm with you on that fsu cause them to's and greg reid dominated this game on D & returns. Yards doesn't matter just the scoreboard after the clock is on all 0's in the 4th qt.
sc had more offensive yards and more first downs, turnovers are a killer. not trying to make excuses because injuries are a part of the game, but if lattimore wouldnt have gotten hurt this game would have a much bigger outcome, not saying we wouldve won, because you could make the same case for ponder, but this could have been a special game for both teams.
Damn Greg Reid should have been a great NFL player. I stopped 3/4 of the way through because I couldn't watch anymore. Dude was abusing alshon Jeffrey. Not to mention the hit on lattimore who was probably the best back in cfb at the time.
@JRockTheGeek I'm not a nole fan, but correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't FSU like 14 and 2 over South Carolina over all. Revenge doesn't seem to be a motivating factor for you guys.
@suckittrebek619 IMO Manuel is better than Ponder, he's a dual threat QB. I didn't even know they were playing without 2 of their 3 RB's. I really never kept up with FSU. They're a damn good team, but just not a national title team. If they make it to the Orange bowl next year I wouldn't be surprised one bit. Especially, with the recruits that got coming in.
Greg Reid = like a G5 To all the Noles Haters out there, were back!! When we play Oklahoma next year we gonna embarrass them like they did us at week 2 and were gonna take home the acc championship.
@pattman19852012 No they won't. Florida st is good, but you have to remember this game doesn't tell you nothing. It took South Carolina's final drive that ended with turnover on downs to officially put the game away. Plus South Carolina had 5 turnovers and was without their star running back, and they only lost by 9 points. South Carolina is slightly above average. Lets see FSU do this to a team like Oregon or Auburn. Oh and I'm a Gamecock fan as well.
@skinsallday2130 Rlmfao, Ponder doesn't play DEFENSE, OUR DEFENSE FORCED 5 TURNOVERS and EJ only rushed for 46 yards. Chris Thompson had 147 yards on 25 carries for near 6 yards a pop. smdh. And if Ponder was 100% we would have blown you bum's out by at least two touchdowns. He flat out threw a sure TD pass to L. Pryor in the ground because of his elbow in the second quarter. And don't forget, that was Stoops FIRST year as our defensive coordinator implementing his brand new zone based scheme.
@adfan4life18 - Dude I'm an OU fan, but saying FSU is overrated sounds unintelligent. You know their a different team now than before. Mark Stoops gots their defense rolling.
Let's be honest, South Carolina would've won if Florida State didn't injure Marcus Lattimore - the best RB in the country and centerpiece of South Carolina's offense. It was a good game, but I think most Gamecock fans knew once Lattimore was gone that it was going to be a much harder game to win.
@bignole7547 if we can beat oklahoma well go undeafeted and the national championship along with the ACC i mean look at it, three people on espn rated us in the top ten, two of them rated us in the top 5! all three rated oklahoma number one so if we knock off oklahoma that early we should go to the NT
@skinsallday2130 If's and But's then FSU would've been in the title game. Nevermind losing a game to a miss field goal and a fumble on the 3.......if we would have just stopped Oklahoma on 20 plays then we would've won that game.
@bignole7547 - Trust me, we ain't all alike. I have respect for FSU, the only problem I have is that if FSU wins next season, that the same common courtesy of respect is giving by FSU fans. If not? Then I'll milk that 2010 win.
@Fourayball FSU outrushed USC by close to 100 yards......the only thing you could really do is break one every now and then. It happens. You're lucky Ponder went down in the 1st otherwise it would have been a blowout.
@sinfulfloridian I hope your right. Is all down hill from the Oklahoma game. Miami not as strong as in the past and UF weak as ever. This could be the year of the NOLES.
Just looked up South Carolina Gamecocks football on wikipedia.. was expecting to find like a national tite from the 50s or something like that some sort of success in the past of some kind but nope not much there.. do have a heisman trophy winner but thats about it and theyve only made 16 bowl games in there 119 years of existence I mean really LOL and theyve only won 4!! LMAO
