He is so calm on touchdown. I always have to press a hundred buttons ya know reverse thrust, disarm autobrakes reverse thrust disengage etc but he's just like "touchdown..(eats a sandwich).
I remember seeing these commercials on TV. There is an air force base near me that has an air show every year that I always went to as a kid and it was cool seeing all the different static displays and especially the demonstrations, the Thunderbirds in particular. However FSX and experiencing the aspects of flight is what convinced me that being a pilot is something I wanted to do for a living.
this video is so old that i just rediscovered it on my facebook memories when 8 year old me rated it 5 out of 5 stars, because youtube used to have a star rating system instead of a like system.
Reminds me of my first landing in reality. My flight instructor's comments were "That was interesting." Great vid and sim.... A lot cheaper then paying 5.15 for AVGAS although flying is a blast. The sim is extremely accurate for instrument flying. I find some of the people on Vatsim annoying, but most are impressive on their approach knowledge, and ATC skills.
Yes, it has somewhat of a learning curve. However, this game is amazing because you actually learn real world flight procedures if you take it seriously. Great video btw.
@battlestorm123 Well, the word which translated to polish, the verb "putzen" mostly refers to cleaning, or brushing, like to brush my teeth is :"ich putze meine Zahne", so it was probably in translation when they chose polish, rather than cleaning. No idea why.

@bulumSP I do contact controllers in fsx. but not during cruise, and not when i taxi to the gate unless im sure I have working gate codes for my airplane so the ground controller will send me to the right terminal. also at KIAD they never use runway 30 for takeoff in fsx but they do in real life so I sometimes dont contact atc and take off from runway 30
@alwaysFSX I installed FSX on my desktop computer. The computer was fine during the installation (only reached something like 93 degrees...), and then when I set the graphics to 'Very Low', it was like watching a very slow picture slide show...

Most of the time when I land (specialy visual), I notice that just before touchdown the runway will always seems to move to the side (even tho you are perfectly center and stable at approach) making the aircraft off center. Ive noticed it too with a couple of fsx landing vids but not in real life landing tho. is it just me or you all notice it too?
@VlogDaleVlog Just keep your speed up, keep the throttle up, not not too far. Maintain about 65 knots on the approach, once you cross the threshold, pull the power to idle level out a few feet over the runway, and when the plane starts to sink, flare the nose up. Hope this helps :)
you know what sportsman93? in the caribbean landing, when you land you have to pass all the runway until the end. then you turn around and go through the runway again (this time against the side you landed) and wait for a grey taxi to turn. you go there and MISSION COMPLETE
@johnsmithfsx yeah at the moment I am touching down short I am not stalling at all just losing altitude too fast currently flying Cessna's but once I mastered them hopefully want to move on to boeings!
it can be both if you do the missions and freeflight,the states that its not just for young males with nothing to do any and everyone can play,i saw that for myself at the flightsim exhibition in birmingham uk.nuff women were on the flightsims 04 and fsx
My biggest issue with FSX is the add ons, most anyway. Such as Wilco CRJ and Airbus, when you are in the VC the windshields are far to big, to tall. I have flown both airbus A320 and the CRJ's, so flying these addons is the the most unrealistic as it can be.
Don't worry to much about it. It takes a while to get used to the controls but once you've figured them out there a breeze. I'd reccomend taking the tutorials and sticking to smaller aircraft right now, and you may want to invest in a joystick. It helps improve the control you have over the plane.
no, you can talk search a couple vidoes on on youtube: "fsx multiplayer" Im from x plane so I don't know a whole lot about fsx but I've seen videos before.
I can't wait to play this again :) I'm getting a new laptop for Christmas because this one keeps crashing FSX on startup, and the framerate is terrible. My older laptop ran FSX like a charm. Can't wait!
Hi when I come in for a landing in any plane I always find myself falling short of the runway and ending up in the woods or in someones back yard could anyone possibly tell me what I am doing wrong? P.s I am new to FS P.P.s I am using a joystick
