this one took 5 try's to get the raw footage. well this one will familiarize you with the radio and basics on using the ingame ATC AKA Default ATC. third in a series of tutorials where we cover the basics of flying in Flight Simulator.
in 1980 I flew MSFS on a green phosphorus screen, just some grid lines and a plane made out of dots, How far it has come, I have always wanted to use the radios in the stack but never took the time, until now, I watch your video on my I Pad and run the game on my computer, Let me say "an old dog can learn new tricks" Thanks so much for clear instructions, Best of luck to you and the other pilots out there. Happy landings
This is a great video one of the best I've come across on RU-vid trying to learn the radio I like how thorough you explained everything but there is a lot to still learn.
Awesome video - great explanation of the radio basics and really like the info at the end of the flight on properly taxing to a parking spot. Thanks! Subbed.
Thank you very much for these videos! As I am trying to get back into flying, these are a of great help. Please keep them coming, maybe also on flying IFR?
Really good video I liked and subscribed , I enjoyed it . The flight was great to see . Watching this I was really impressed . Keep up the great work you make some great videos !
what is the key combination you are using to get that external view that you can manipulate left and right as when you landed and watched the other plane take off?
@@Desparoto Thank you Desparoto. Can you please tell me how to access/set up locked spot view please? Thank you in advance for taking the time out of your day to explain my friend!!!
I play X plane 11 and flight sim world will this vid be the same what I mean is will I learn this thing and will it help me in x plane 11 and flight sim world
It will be exactly the same in FSW there was little to no changes with how the ATC system works. for X-Plane it should be similar. Radio is a Radio. though the key commands and mouse movements may be different.
In game Map or GPS will show other airports. Theres also map programs like Plan-G and Little NAV Map. then websites like Skyvector will show real world charts.
When I am trying to open my Radio Stack it is black. It comes up like that in the video but instead of showing something it is black.... If you know how to fix it please answer:) Thank You! Nice Video Anyway:D
Are you using a default Aircraft? That happens when the panel is present but no gauges are loaded. I must also ask where there any issues on the install? check your FSX/Gauges folder for a file named Bendix_king_radio.dll If that files not there then that explains it. if it is then its possible something is blocking it.
+Kevin Davis On the ground you steer with rudder controls. I have a joy stick so i twist it. look at the control list to see what the rudder controls are.
Kevin Davis For taxing just enough throttle to get going then back to idle. usually you need to play with it a bit. there's no magic setting. i believe brakes are just Period. check the control list to be sure.
using the guard frequency and saying Mayday is a felony only say Mayday and only switch to the guard frequency if you have an emergency otherwise stay off their channel.
