2021 ARRL CONTEST(CW) FTDX10 vs IC-7300
ほぼ同一条件に設定しスピーカーは共用しています。
FTDX10の300Hzフィルター(画面確認)、APF(右下ボタン点灯)の効果を実感して下さい。
アンテナはバーチカル、ロケーションは海岸で人工雑音はごく少ない。
FTDX10については以下のブログを参照下さい。

It's set as the same conditions and a loudspeaker is being shared mostly.
Please realize the effect of the 300Hz filter of FTDX10 (screen confirmation) and APF (the lower right button lighting up).
A use antenna is handed out of 3F verandah by verticality (6.5mL).
Location is a coast and　Cultural noise is not.

I have both..The yaesu has a better sound and it hears better but it does cost a bit more....I like your video..

My main rig is TS-990S, but FTDX10 isn't so inferior. The cost performance ratio is high, but it doesn't seem that an excessive expectation is held.

Hi, thanks for the video! Please make a video with a comparison on ssb , in 20m band but use same settings and antena and if you can dont use DNR to have a clear view of the signal. 73 we'll hardly wait for a video as many people interested in SSB. 73

The majority of my operations are in CW mode, so I am not confident in my hearing in SSB mode. However, I understand that many hams are looking for results in SSB mode. I will try to produce a content on SSB mode (FTDX10 vs IC-7300) in the near future.

У 7300 есть лайфхак. На динамик ставится труба для воды 90° (угол). И звук становится фантастическим. Проверено. И ещё функции на 7300 тоже включайте. И советую до конца разобраться с настройками 7300. Даже панорама не настроена, стоковый вариант. А в целом yeasu хорошие аппараты.))

our radio is overload with signals (OVR) must use attentuator and select an filter, human must adjusted in other way then an anlouge radio, the signal is the same.

Good very instructive video. But two things, the icom manual clearly explains the use of OVF, without a doubt it is badly applied. The following I would like that this test was carried out with an S0 signal because with S5 signals it is very easy for any receiver to listen comfortably. IF you perform without ovf saturation and with low signal it would be an imposing test. Anyway it is a good comparison well done. Thanks for the comparison is the only one that does a very good job. 73

Why OVF on the Icom?? Which wins? Sounds like the Yaesu is better.

Thank you very much for your comment. Because OVF lighting up is P.AMP1 on. The basic performance is same mostly, but FTDX10 is more excellent in RMDR,BDR,IMDR. FTDX10 at which APF,300Hz Xtal Filter was offered, advantage is high.

I had a 7300/7610 & did not like them. My 7700 is quieter/better. But I am really liking this FTdx-10 and may get one. Thank you for the vid! Thumbs up.

Sorry but it's not an accurate test. The preamp was on on the 7300. Why do you need it on 20 meters, when signals are strong anyway and there is quite a bit of RF noise at your QTH? It's clearly getting overloaded and it's where all the noise and poor reception comes from. The noise reduction wasn't even used on the 7300. Twin PBT wasn't used either. You can make either radio sound like crap by simply manipulating some parameters and settings.

Thank you very much for your valuable opinion. For used one to make P.AMP1 the same condition. A setting point is a threshold of OVF movement. I'd like to leave evaluation to an audience.

@@73miky hello Miky but isnt same condition.. amp1 yaesu = no amp in ICOM from the factory if you want see same signal in smeter.

Thank you for your opinion. Receiver Test Data　www.sherweng.com/table.html NoiseFloor(dBm)　FTDX10　-135dBm(AMP1),IC-7300 -140.5dBm(AMP-1) Based on the above measurement results, I set AMP1 to ON for both units in order to make the settings almost the same. Of course I know that the dynamic range of the 7300 will be worse with this setting.

To be fair, Icom NR is completely useless so whether it was on or off is irrelevant.

@@johnratcliffe6438 No, it's not useless. Actually, Icom's NB filer is signficantly more effective than the same filters on Kenwood and Yeasu. Icom's NR is also very effective. I did a lot of side by side tests with my IC-7300, IC-7610 and my FTDX3000 and FT1000MK5. Icoms did a much better job at removing strong powerline noise than the Yeasus. I've always been a Yaesu fan but I would never say that Icoms NR is useless.

You can either hear the signal or you cant. Which radio can really pull out the weak signal regardless of what filtering or preamps are being used. This test does not do this therefore not a very good demo.

Ho avuto icon 7300 adesso ho icon 7610 ed ho anche yaesu ftdx3000, nessuno è come yaesu in cw mode. Tono bello,pulito squillante,apf eccezionale. Il keyer interno è molto superiore ad ICOM ...max speed ICOM 40wpm,max speed yaesu 60wpm con iambico a/b.icom non ha iambico a/b solo b.ecc...ecc....dnr yaesu superiore a ne ICOM. Certo il watherfull yaesu è orrendo bruttissimo,inguardabile,inutilizzabile,il menù è complicato ma io in modo morse lo adoro. P.s. Con il filtro opzionale 300hrz è un altra storia. Il6ihm only cw,tank you
