Thank you for this. I have just joined a local backgammon club & this is a great tool for learning, pausing after each dice roll & trying to guess what move will be made. Brilliant.
Try downloading an app for your phone, I play all the time on the go, on trains waiting rooms etc, then go on line and try your luck !!! your skills will quickly develop.
@@imanuelcaushi4711 The objective is simple enough, and I THINK I kinda get the basic rules, but I don't think I know all the intricacies and rule interactions, and I I certainly don't know what the giant die is for.
@@IncredibleMD The giant die is called a doubling cube. When one player puts it on the board, the other player can choose to take it or leave it. If you take it, then you win 2 games, if you lose, you lose 2 games. If you refuse to take it, the opponent wins 1 game straight away and a new game starts. Hope that clears it up a bit :D
@@imanuelcaushi4711 Nooooooooooooot really. So, at any point in the game, a player can just decide to put a huge die on the board, and he can win two games just by winning a die toss? Seems like it kinda defeats the point of, you know, playing the game.
@@IncredibleMD Hahah no no that's not what I mean, I guess you can tell English isn't my first language. The point is, if you and I were playing and I put the big dice on the board and you take it, we continue playing until the end of the game as we usually would, BUT, whoever wins, wins double. Either double games, or double whatever price has been bet. So if we were playing for 5 euros, and one of us accepted the double, then we'd be playing for 10. If I offer the double, and you refuse it, then I win 1 game immediately and the game ends right there and then, so it's a strategic tool to use if you think you're ahead in the game.
Profesyonel oyun bişey diyemem ama fuat bey ne kadar riskli oynadıysa japonun şansı da o kadar yüksekti. İlk el zarlar bizden yanaydı ancak bu kadar cesur oynarsan olacağı buydu.
That was interesting to watch. Just learning backgammon online. Playing an AI programmed game. I was particularly interested when Michy rolled the double 6 when bearing off. It is possible to finish off fast or possibly win if you're lucky. Unfortunately the ai programmed games are heavily biased with the throws of the dice. I've never seen a double six when I bear off playing on the ai programmed game.
After the player with the gold pieces rolled a 6-3 and could not come in from the bar, the player with the white pieces picked up the doubling cube and doubled. His opponent declined the double (accepting the loss of a point), so the players set up the men for a new game.
Katlama zarı dostum o. Oyun puanını 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 diye katlamaya yarıyor. Avantajlı oyuncu bu zarı kullanıp oyun puanını yükseltmek ister, rakip oyuncu kabul ederse oyun puanı katlanır. Eğer rakip oyuncu bu teklifi kabul etmezse mevcut puan katlama teklifi yapan oyuncuya verilir.
2x puan alırsın yani 1 degil 2 sayı alıyosun. Oyunu alıcağını düşündükleri zaman bahisi ortaya koyuyolar, karşıdaki kabul etmezse direk eli 1 sayıyla kaybetmiş oluyor. En güzeli bahsi koymuşken mars yapmak hop 4 sayı cepte
When he's 8-3 down, shouldnt he just double immediately? He has to win, so it may as well be for double points. Any kind of loss and he's done. Is it within the rules for him to double when opponent needs one point?
Crawford Rule: "[Named for John R. Crawford.] A standard rule of match play. When the leading player comes within one point of winning the match, the following game is played without a doubling cube. This one game without doubling is called the Crawford Game. After the Crawford game, the doubling cube is back in play again."
why are they using the small box for the dice, when my late father played this game , nobody could beat him, too bad I just started playing the game I would have learned a lot from him if i watched him play-
