@@MikePhantom The point isn't "difficulty of streaming" but that she spent *221 hours* trying to get a gold magikarp. And she said she spent off-stream time trying to catch it, and fail, too. Also, not many streamers can make fishing for magikarp a successful stream for weeks, and 221 hours, let alone become the meme and fun it was.

It's higher in this game In one of the classes, the game tells you the odds is 1/4000 as opposed to 1/8000+ iirc

Same rates but its way easier since you can see them on the overworld and not have to do encounter one by one. Of course mass outbreaks also boost shiny rates a bit and sandwiches even more so yes its easier.

It's the same rate. Difference is that pokemon spawn in the overworld, which increases the chances of finding a shiny. That is however, only if you're able to spot one.

She changed strat from hunting at the beachside to the seas. The spawn of non-magikarp at the spot she chose is pretty low too, tho could be because of the items/buff shes using.
