Judging by how she acted, I'd say she knew this was coming, and has seen her share of Undertale before. I think for Rushia it was a totally new experience.

@@xXTheKingEmothXx yeah rushia's experience was her first (she was recommended it by marine) the Toby fox trick of it being a regular rpg worked until the 2nd half of the game started laying morals on thick

Weirdly it's a double edged sword at times, Undertale's now infamous metanarrative. When it functions perfectly, like with Rushia, it's a brilliant little piece of self reflective media, which is impressive for a game that presents itself as a goofy spoof RPG. However, that was just one thing Toby wanted to do with this. He also wanted to just fuck around with interesting gameplay, music and scenarios. He's a great game developer who is also a great storyteller, and a sizeable portion of Undertale's fanbase get the emphasis backwards. The idea of going into this - a cult classic darling indie game that features in Smash Bros it's so notable - with anything less than total obliviousness to some of the game's meta twists is, to many, doing the game a disservice. Slaying an enemy - one of the most culturally expected tropes of any RPG - can trigger a viewerbase because these characters are beloved, and they want to player to experience the optimal version of the story. But, it's still a game. It's meant to be enjoyed above any lofty bit of self reflection. I'm glad Fubuki's chat enjoyed her love of the game, not the metanarrative, because that's what Fubuki wanted to sign up for. I'm glad the chat took to Rushia's blind playthrough that sucker punched her, because so often players can be scorned for not caring about the story, and others admonished for playing it like a typical RPG at first. Let's hope that trend continues, it's certainly what Toby intended when he made this.

At the final part especially, with Sans' judgment, Rushia was trying to decide if she had done the right thing. But Sans just called her a "dirty brother killer" and she grew quiet again. Sssssssssssssss pain

Cant blame him, but let's be real, Dreamurrs fight in itself is just so cool, the music, the background, the boss, the concept. Like bro, no doubt, best part of the fight is when he hits you with that all out attack and you're still standing with like 1 HP. The scene after that is amazing too, wish the girls would react to that, because shit is it sad

now hold on, let me be annoyingly pedantic about this. megalovania is much more than just sans' theme. he's included it in so many completely unrelated projects he's worked on. first his earthbound romhack *all the way back in 2008* ­, then homestuck in 2011, and not until 2015 did it show up in undertale. that song is more like toby fox's own theme song.

She's watched playthroughs before. And from what people say, you usually don't get the genocide route accidentally, so most people who do it already know about it.

I believe dark souls is still harder than undertale

I'm not certain dark souls is any difficult past the first time you played a souls games, whereas in undertale theres only been 1 single game so for me learning it was more difficult. I'm not sure what you guys consider difficult, but being real, dark souls is only difficult for people who are impatient or just jump into the series for the first time. Look at so many people calling the nameless king difficult, and then go watch their videos where they die because instead of hitting him 3 secure times and backing off, they choose to try 1 more attack and then get hammered to death. Heck, when demon souls came out it was considered so difficult that it literally spawned the entire series of games and now that the remake came out people stomped on the bosses easily. There's just no comparison atm. Maybe the same will happen to undertale once new games come out, but atm I consider it a while lot more difficult than dark souls.
