I played this song in 2003 at my son’s funeral. He loved this song.

This is beyond words, one of the best live performances I have ever seen, and I don't particularly like Fuel or Elton John.

I was floored by this. I was listening to the prerecorded version on Fuel's album and came upon this. This live version sounds even better than the prerecorded one. Amazing job by Brett.

I just want to say.. I saw fuel at Nashville City Winery the other day. I've always been a huge fan but when I heard Brett Scallions sing live, it changed my life forever. This cover is so amazing. I play it over and over. It gives me goosebumps.

I remember it clearly & the feeling of awe that took over me that night while this song was being played, for years I've thought about that & how much I wish cell phones would have been out back then to captured that moment! Brett w fuel and Elton John are both amazing in thier own ways. the cover is in my opinion AMAZING seen Brett and fuel live once, and I wish I had the chance to see them do this song. You really can't compare Elton John and Brett Scallions. Two different vocalists with two very amazing voices. When you know a vocalist has nailed a cover, is when you feel the same as you do when you hear the original. This song gives you just that.

Powerful. This is one of my favorite Elton songs, and this version is a great interpretation of the original. I think you captured and expressed a lot of what he probably felt at the time.

This is up there with Chris Cornells cover of "Nothing Compares" as my favorite grunge covers

my stepdad is my childhood bully but one thing he did that was cool was to learn this guitar because he knew I liked this cover and he liked the original and the cover (15 years ago) we jammed it one or twice and it wasn’t great but I felt like I had a dad for a bit doing it. When he dies I’ll sing this at his funeral.

Thank you for the upload. Not able to keep track of how many times I've listened and watched this video . I think I'm obsessed with Brett's version of Daniel, specifically this performance. The passion was everywhere, perfect for his voice. No offense but I actually prefer Brett's cover to the original by EJ.
