Brett Scallions is such an underrated singer, in most of his live performances he sounds better than the studio recording especially in his prime years. Without Brett Fuel doesn't sound like Fuel anymore...
I did lights for 5 shows in the late 90's or 2000, I suffer from head injury now so FORGIVE me!They were leaving for world tour, Australia first stop if I remember correctly, they said come on we could use you. Very last minute thing and I had a rottie, no one to take care of her. What a chance I passed up. They were incredible, best live performances, so tight. They were so healthy, food spreads were all fruits and fresh vegetables, No boose. I heard later things changed, but I have faith they didn't. Fuel RULED 🤜🏻🤛🏻👊🏻✊🏻🤟🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻
One of the best 90s/2000s bands hands down couldn’t make a bad album! Brett Scallions is one of the best vocalists of the last25 years underrated is an understatement
Carl and Brett are Fuel, without the two together they are just members with hired musicians, it's just not the same, the magic is gone. Wish they would settle their differences!
@@ThierryRocksTV Agreed but Toryn Green was a much better choice than Daughtry. I still can't believe Fuel offered Daughtry the vocalist position in the band years ago. Daughtry covered Hemorrage on tv before he got famous and it was absolutely terrible. His voice simply does not work for Fuel Songs.
One of the best rockers from the late 90s. Couldnt believe this stellar line up is no more. Members come n go but the essence of RNR is eternal! A truly great band that deserves international acclaim not just cos they AMERICAN but the fact that writing a memorable hook that will live in minds of fans forever. Thats what I call TALENT!
Wow he has an amazing voice. On point too!! They sound the same live as they do on record. Every once in awhile I'm reminded of how much I love this band just by coming across any one of their songs.
.remember your music since the days when I was living the States and listening to Z100 radio(New York city). So much time has gone by and I am glad to find you other ways listening to your music. I wish you the very best, remember your music always, Angela from central Italy :)
Thank you uploading this. What a masterful life version. Feeling this song big time at the moment, family life seems so crushing at times… Go fuel, what a song ❤️
Oh GOD. I love this!! My soul comes alive and can’t breathe at the same time with this song. This song and this performance sets my soul on fire. Thank you Fuel! Everyone of you guys are amazing!
No this isn't lip synced. It's a slight bit of recording lag between video and audio. There are so many album inconsistencies but those are what make it cool ;)
Wait - I think this is from the VH-1 Performance I've been searching for now for decades. The way the camera panned from their right - wasn't this the performance in which Train was next to them. Train sang a song; Fuel took one; Train took a turn; Fuel next...absolute classic! Thanks for posting this.
@@melissabarmen4918 Thanks for waking that 55-yr-old brain cell - I'd told people about that performance but could never find it. Now...off to search for that performance - Shimmer is a classic.
I searched fuel VH1 and it came up. For some reason it didn’t come up when I searched fuel and train. It really is a forgotten storytellers episode. I’ve seen Fuel well over 50+ times since 98. Music is kind of an obsession haha and random music facts
The Storytellers and this show was both hosted by VH1, but this one was called VH1 Experience. It was a concert series made with the show itself and behind-the-scene stuff as well😊
Wish these 2 geniuses would fucking get over themselves and realize together they are Jerry and Layne and they are still here on this earth to produce new amazing music. Really a huge fan of Fuel. I saw the for the Somthing Like Human Tour at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI. I will say, Brett fucking OWNED the crowd and stage. He is one of the best frontmen to come along in a long time. Wish these guys would ride their ride.
Brett Scallions is only singing the verse. the chorus and bridge he is miming. his voice was pretty shot at this point and couldnt sing live anymore. such a shame
@arcanite Just saw him live down here in Florida. His voice goes in and out. Some parts of the song were perfect and others had a crack or too. Loved it anyway. Great to see them with Brett again.
i was commenting to Robbie5490 - I agree Brett is definately singing, that's what I meant by Get Real! it could be his internet speed that's the problem :)
I think it's well known at this point that the choruses and the pretty much everything from the 2nd chorus on was track. The verses sound live. Kevin came out and blasted the band about the tracks after he was fired. Brett couldn't sing at that point. Deviated septum, lead to surgery, fucked his voice. If you watch a video from more recent of this song. Sounds incredible and I'm fairly certain Carl didnt give brett the tracks to use for his version of Fuel.
