can I ask a question here, '02 montero sport, fully disabled ignition/wheel-lock to bare wires, turns over but wont Fire ,usually I just turn key and ready Strong, running..so seems fuel RELAY/pump (Q) ALSO a strange BUZZING started up in the "middle dash,A/C area",.. help, Please, sean
I have a Montero sport with a mysterious problem. When it's cold it runs awesome. Once it warms up, something switches and it almost dies then has absolutely no power to go. Since the issue, it has new factory Mass air flow sensor, new timing belt, new fuel pump, new plugs, wires, top end rebuild. 2 mechanics and the Mitsubishi service center and no definite answers. Any ideas? So Mitsubishi may have a clue. Switching from 2H drive to 4H it is a bit more drivable. However it still hesitates. So the tech thinks it's the 4 wheel drive sensors. What do you think?
@@cluelessbeekeeping1322 it was a little silver box by the fuel cut off switch. I think it was a fuel economizer. They don't make them anymore, $40 for a used one on eBay.
@@dwaynemeroin3101 Thank you so much! Does my description sound similar to your problem? Mine--it would run if I gave it just a tiny bit of gas, if I gave it any more it would start to cut out. After the car would sit for a wile cooling it would run fine for a few minutes, then bam...the problem returned.
No start no crank? So your saying that the car ain't crank over all bc of the fuel pump relay? Smh, that wouldn't stop the car from cranking over man, I don't think you know what u talking about dude. I am certified
