Thank you so much!! I appreciate how detailed and thorough you are. Im planning on looking at a 1986 Sportster 883 with 24k on it ....but i honestly realized i dont know much on how to work on bikes. I decided to dig and reseach about the evo motor,and how things actually workk on a bike. Ive been watching alot of repair videos and its making me more confident in actually going to look at it. Thank you for saying a little on the function of some of the parts. Some people probably already know, but for me being new it really helps alot the little explanations. Keep up the good work😊

Harley’s, and especially sportsters, are very mechanic friendly. That’s a large part of the reason the vintage ones are popular. The evo sportys are pretty reliable. The only downside is the charging systems could be better, but new/modern components will fix that. If you want a pretty reliable vintage bike, you will be happy with a sporty evo.
