SCORE! 🤘 also if the tank doesn't have Vent Tubes use the one on that sending unit. I plugged all mine and couldn't figure out why my car wouldn't drive for more than 2 miles before it acted like it was out of gas. Then I did some research yup tank needs to breath or it Locks up due negative pressure. As a test I ran rubber fuel line from the tank vents up through the trunk and back down the other side through the frame like the factory vent lines and WALAH car runs and drives great. 👍
I’ll have to double check the filler neck but, the original tank I yanked out of there didn’t have a vent. I assumed it was on the neck or cap but, haven’t laid eyes on it. I’ll take a look when I get home. I can totally see the line reaching a negative pressure that matches the pump’s output without a vent.
Yes, it’s a fuel pressure regulator. It’s not necessarily needed with this particular pump but, it’ll help in the future when I install a stronger pump. I’ll just need to run the return line at that point
