Fugaku's Mangekyou Sharingan Ability REVEALED?! 

I really wish we were able to see Fugaku in combat. The fact that he was compared to people like minato and sakumo for the hokage title speaks volume. Also absolutely love his mangekyo design. It’s very unique

I hope we to get see more of Fugaku during the Minato stories. Seeing the fathers of Naruto and Sasuke interacting together on their come up would be fan service for me.

It'll be cool if instead of amatarasu, his eye increased an emotion in his target and he used it in war, if you have a tiny bit of fear, he can amplify that fear to make him look wickedly intimidating

Fugaku surely had it really hard. He had two positions that conflicted with each other: head of clan and protector of the village. He chose to go with the family. Itachi went with the village. Itachi saw the bigger picture basically, but it's not that simple given that Fugaku was way closer to his clan members. Tobirama really fostered some tough times for the clan.

For yall who dont want to watch the full video: Eye 1: Amaterasu (canon) - Amaterasu is inextinguishable black flames that can be cast by the user. It costs your eye to bleed. Eye 2: Bishamonten (custom) - It protects, bloodlessly, to a degree. It is a genjutsu that imparts the caster’s will on whoever he casted it upon. Instead of playing with your senses, it plays with your perception of reality. In a way, it forces someone to fight for the caster’s side.

I can't imagine Fugaku _not_ having a Mangekyo Sharingan. It might be a rare power in a Clan where even awakening a normal Sharingan isn't guaranteed, but there always seemed to be at least a handful of wielders at any given time for each generation, and Fugaku had to live through the effects of _two_ Great Wars, even if he wasn't old enough to actually _fight_ in one of them; that's plenty of time and opportunity for traumatic awakening to occur. That said, I'm not so sure about the proposed Genjutsu ability... it seems too complicated for a MS Ability. I wager it's something much more simple, like instilling an _intense_ sense of terror into an opponent, no illusion necessary. Think about Orochimaru projecting his killing-intent during the Chunin Exams, then amplify that a few times over... on _eye-contact_ alone. You want to stop a conflict bloodlessly? Abuse the survival instinct that all beings possess, and make them run in fear.

The only thing I’m confident about with Fugaku’s MS is that he didn’t have Amaterasu. I say this because when Itachi used it against Jiriya, Jiriya acted as if he has never seen it before and had no idea what it was until he just saw it. With Fugaku being Minatos rival and someone Jiriya most definitely would have know a lot about I don’t see how he could have had Amaterasu and Jiriya not know or see it used. So if Fugaku had Amaterasu how did Jiriya not recognize it immediately when Itachi did it? Y was Jiriya caught off guard and appear to not know what it was?

If Bishimon is what Fugaku’s MS ability is and the link between MS abilities and family members is there a cool Kakashi and Sakumo moment between Sarada and Fugaku where he explains his MS ability to her and how it would help her against Eida would be an awesome scene

You know nick, I’ve got to say you have the perfect blend of informative and entertaining naruto content. It’s so refreshing and great for both watching or just listening along. It’s like listening to my friend tell me about the new naruto lore he found out about while we’re playing games

I really like the Bishamon ability you give him, I think it's perfectly suited to his personality and what we know of him, but I think his other eye was Tsukiyomi, for purely symbolic reasons. In Naruto, the Sun represents Hope, Overt Action, Being a Source of Strength, Yang Release, and Asura/The Senju, while the Moon represents Despair, Underhandedness, Taking/Using the Strength of Others, Yin Release, and Indra/The Uchiha. Amaterasu in the Goddess of the Sun, while Tsukiyomi was the God of the Moon. The fact that both Sasuke and Itachi have Amaterasu is a huge symbolic thing; it represents them both being willing to take decisive action, both having confidence to stand alone against the world, and being juxtaposed to the will of the Uchiha bloodline (Itachi by choosing Konoha over the clan, and Sasuke by ending the curse of hatred once and for all). Their secondary abilities explain their conflict within that tradjectory: Itachi has Tsukiyomi to symbolize him being stuck between Konoha and his Clan and wanting to change reality, while Sasuke has Kagatsuchi to symbolize his struggle to push his power beyond its bounds and burn EVERYTHING down. However, Fugaku doesn't strike me as a particularly "active" character in the series. Yes, he's the head of the clan and police force, but what little of him we get to see interacting with others shows him to be a stern, quiet, and reserved individual. He doesn't give praise to Sasuke openly, he doesn't spend time with his sons, he expects a lot from people and doesn't seem to "do" a lot even when taking action. This extends to his role in the coup; at first he argued AGAINST the coup, not wanting to bring unrest to Konoha or put his clan in danger, until later he agreed to lead it on the condition that it be a targeted strike against the leadership so as to not cause unnecessary suffering. Even when Itachi came to kill their whole clan in the night, Fugaku never fought back. He accepted his son's decision and refused to fight against it. Every action he takes is precise, secretive, overwhelming and efficient, and I believe that's because he is in true alignment with the symbology of the Moon. He uses roundabout methods rather than physical force, he uses the strength of others by using his son as a spy and relying on his clan, and he seems unwilling to take actions himself unless forced to. At the same time, his interactions with Itachi show without a doubt that he is opposed to war and the coup, which is why he brought his son to that battlefield in the first place; to instill in him the terrible reality of war. So why did he agree to the coup when he hated it and rejected it? Because he loved both his clan and Konoha and wanted to protect them both from future harm, the same as Itachi did. Therefore, I think the familial link in MS powers is between Fugaku and Itachi with Tsukiyomi, the power to rewrite reality and dilate time within a genjutsu. Both of them felt torn between their two sides and desired to change reality, but while Itachi possessed Amaterasu, a symbol of Hope and Overt Action, Fugaku possessed Bishamon, a symbol of Duty and Protection, and so Fugaku fell in line with the Uchiha and their Curse of Hatred while Itachi chose to fight against it. Which makes it heartbreaking to realize the reason Fugaku didn't fight back during the Uchiha massacre wasn't because he couldn't or because he gave up, but because he RECOGNIZED the reality of the Uchiha's plans and goals and knew that they were wrong. But as head of the clan, as their sworn protector, Fugaku couldn't make the choice to stop his clan from doing this, but Itachi could and did. And so by not fighting back against Itachi, both Fugaku and Mikoto were silently declaring their love for him and support of him taking on this burden that neither of them were able to. They entrusted the future of the clan and their sons to Itachi, and though it was super roundabout and needlessly dramatic, Itachi did right by their faith in him in the end.

When I was a kid I hated Fugaku but as I’ve gotten older I’ve really started to like him and wished there was more info on him. I’m hoping to see more of him in the upcoming Minato manga 💜🖤

Also, I doubt Kakashi would've seen Itachi's amaterasu after awakening his MS. Kakashi was quite surprised to see amaterasu after the fight between Itachi and Sasuke. So Fugaku having an Amaterasu and using it in the 3rd shinobi war might actually be the reason why Kakashi knew about the existance of Amaterasu and Jiraiya knowing to seal the Amaterasu in a scroll.

I do like the idea of Fugaku’s Bishamonten ability being a will-altering genjutsu; my first thought was a more physical thing, some kind of barrier he could create to shield those around him. A genjutsu boost doesn’t really seem to be necessary for controlling the 9-Tails, as Obito did it just fine without using his MS. Anyway, having this idea immediately sent me spiraling off towards thoughts of Itachi’s Yata Mirror. Google searches then made me painfully aware of a great deal of confusion about the nature of spirit weapons in Naruto- how does one get a spirit weapon? Are they granted by some higher power? Or are they physical things that can be found like Orochimaru implies when he discovers Itachi had some? Can they be inherited from someone else who owned one? Did Fugaku have the Yata Mirror or Totsuka Blade or were those entirely new and unique to Itachi?

What if his ms is torture based like how Itachi uses Tsukuyomi but way worse as it would be solely based on torture or he can enforce his will on your body instead of your mind.. in this scenario he could control one’s body as a perfect puppet and force you to witness how he kills each of your comrades as you watch from within

I enjoyed this theory and it makes sense. Tho I will say I have always thought part of his MS abilities was the ability to see a persons true intentions. Examples. 1) He wasn’t surprised and was ready when Itachi showed up and knew his son was doing what he felt was the best thing out of a stack of nothing but horrible outcomes. 2) He continuously delayed the Uchia coue cause he was able to see that some or many Uchia intended on killing every one in the village and it wouldn’t have ended there causing another world war.

Finally some light on Fugaku.. I’ve always revered him even without seeing his abilities.. it’s a good day fr❤️

I reckon madaras eye can see through shadow clones cuz he can see your soul. It would explain why he is able to see through any clone and with the help of the rennigan he can preserve his own. Also explains why he gets along with the first homage despite being polar opposite cuz he can read his soul

Not only the strongest of ninja get nicknames. One example I can think of is Might Duy "The Eternal Genin" but to be fair he did coining the term eight inner gates while spending 20 years perfecting it, fought all 7 ninja swordsmen of the mist at the same time and killed 4 of them, and was the father of the strongest taijutsu user since the Ōtsutsuki and Hagoromo; and he stayed the strongest until the other Ōtsutsuki made themselves known. So I guess technically someone could argue Might Duy is an example of how only the strong get nicknames. I'm pretty sure there's someone that wasn't powerful who had a nickname, I just can't think of them right now. Maybe there's not tho, who knows.

There should be a MS ability that lets user interact with other peoples chakra by looking at it. So genjutsu without eye contact, and apply ur nature transformations to other peoples jutsu to amp or null it. Like imagine using it to turn the rikage’s aroumor into fire to burn him. I'm in the camp that Itachi already planned to give Sasuke his eyes, which we don't know but it's implied that you can't stack EMS on top of each other, so if he had an EMS Sasuke wouldn't be able to get his eyes.

If Naruto had an MS, it would probably resemble his seal on his stomach or his clan symbol like Indra eyes in the the manga (If that’s right). Or maybe a pattern of the Moon and Sun, the sun - a genJUSTU of his ninja way and the moon - an ability no one’s has or seen to erase hatred of corrupted people who has been throw it all. Madaras ability to see which clones are real is most definitly the best theory so far as to what his ability is because it has ACTUAL evidence and it is something only he can do. Not even ishhiki, the guy who quite literally mopped naruto and sasuke in his weakest form

Seems to me that Itachi is the outlier and that it is more common for an uchiha to have two mangekyo that are closesly similar. For example sasukes Amaterasu and Obito's kumui. I'd guess that Fugaku had double Tsukiyomi eyes.

I honestly think that Fugaku's MS ability was something that would immediately curse or kill someone. Given his name, "the wicked eye." perhaps it was even something like the bishamon idea presented in the video, but it instead used corpses or essentially made you into a corpse or husk of a person given how the evil or wicked eye is commonly brought up in necromancy in anime and whatnot. Perhaps he had both Amaterasu and the Bishamon genjutsu and he would control people then go as far as somehow igniting some part of them, hiding it in there body, or otherwise sealing Amaterasu into his victims so that they would retreat, find their own teammates, and end up viciously burning them to death, over and over. I feel like some kind of curse like that would make a lot of sense adsuming that the nickname wicked eye is supposed to have come from the idea of the evil eye.

I think Fugaku having Tsukuyomi would be spot on, for his other ability I believe it'd be a genjtsu as well. Like how sasuke has amaterasu and kagutsuchi to compliment it; Fugaku would have an ability "Fukurokuju" for longevity to further control anyone under Tsukyomi after it's releases and causes what they perceived in Tsukuyomi to blend into reality, and he'd use this to drive enemies on the opposing side into a wicked frenzy or panic.

Talk no jutsu with his eyes

Going to take a shot that says saradas ability will to be burn away chakra, more specifically jutsu and more important genjutsu. Her flames will burn away "reality" and fix what is going on currently. And maybe a locolized version where in her space she can bend reality to her will.

I could be wrong, but it almost sounds like Fugaku would essentially have the powers of Kotoamatsukami without drawback.

If Naruto had an MS, it would depend fully on when he awakened it. If it happened when Jiraiya died, it might have something to do with improving his skill with "Talk No Jutsu" to talk Pain out of harming others. If it happened when he thought Sasuke died at the bridge battle, it might have something to do with absorbing or blowing away ninjutsu

I think that fugako's first ability is that you theorists about what his ability is but i also think it's Tsukuyumi to say that if his ability is to manifest his will into the enemy but if that didnt work he would use Tsukuyumi to torture so that they would follow his will but just forced or be killed in a bloodless manner. I dont think that one of his abilities is controlling kurama as obito and madara could control him and we know their MS abilities

I'm still in the belief that Madara ability is to rewind time and it is a giant plot hole what he didn't use it more. The war arc has a lot of plot holes this is just one of them

I think one of his abilities likely was called (konoha)”Sakuya” because she’s the goddess of Mount Fuji, and all volcanoes with her husband being Ninigi being the grandson of Amaterasu. I say this, because he was ultimately a family man, and struggled with his duties as a head of his household and the head of an entire clan. (ultimately failing to cap the volcanoes that was the cycle of hatred within the Uchiha.)

Fugaku does say something to the effect that he could go to where Kurama was rampaging and take control of him using his dojutsu. He doesn't specifically say Mangekyo but he does say he can stop the rampage. Obito probably took those eyes. Maybe as payment for helping Itachi, maybe bc of the latter reason you stated.

Will altering as a focus i could honestly see fairly well if you dive more into how that relates to the abilities we see in his children as well. Itachi as you went over had his Tsukuyomi, bending the perception of his target's world and their senses as he saw fit within it. Sasuke meanwhile had Kagutsuchi, bending the flames of Amaterasu to his will there. Both having Amaterasu and an ability to bend something to their will, and then having a father who also has something similar, fits in with the earlier mentioned potentially genetic link as well.

I believe fugaku had tsukuyomi and Mikoto would have Amaterasu if she got the MS. Wicked eye may be related to a powerful genjutsu. And Sasuke looks more like Mikoto while itachi looks more like fugaku but still got Mikoto’s genes

Fugaku mangekyou abilities in his left eye he can cast a type of ant genjutue if a person makes direct eye with him with in a span of 12 hours they get genjutue immunity thanks to his left eye , in his right eye if a person tries to cast him under a genjutue he can reflect that ganjutue but a 100 times stronger that is fugakus mangekyou abilities

One big thing i always pondered on that you said and i agree with, is MS abilities following a families’ bloodline. I say that due to anybody thats been known to have a uchiha descendant also showed those same abilities. Ex shisui being known for body flicker and genjutsu just like kagami uchiha. Also with how sasuke got the same powers as itachi. With that being said, i always leaned into the thought of fugaku having the ability to control flames (not amateratsu, just change a normal fire style to extreme lengths) and genjutsu similar to tsukyomi as his powers. When you look at sasuke and itachi, they shared powers but was slightly different. Same case would be with fugaku. Maybe he can control someone to bend to his will or maybe it was closer to being able to rewrite someones brain/memories. Meaning more or less that he can make someone question everything they know or believe; being able to outright control someone. Idk, ik nothing is confirmed but thats just what i always thought.

Imagine he has a Ohnoki particle Jutsu that if he is infront of a person to protect them and needs to activate it, that everything around them disappears in a 5m radius for like lets say blitz attacks from multiple ninja or even just 1 super fast one

People are arguing Fugaku having feats, bit it doesn't matter. If yhe narrator or writer says he's on par with Minato or Sannin then hes just thay strong. It doesnt have to make sense.

Madara's mangekyou ability is either seeing the future or reversing time. He never saw through hashirama's wood clone at the end and in storm 4 where kishimoto made the fight between madara and hashirama he clearly used his ms ability which could be interpreted as him seeing the future or him rewinding time a few seconds.

This is naturally highly speculative, but well researched. I learned a lot and I love it.

I get your point about the nickname not really fitting a a 3 tomoe sharingan but you kinda downplayed the 3 tomoe. Obito and Madara put Kurama under genjutsu with a 3 tomoe and Obito put Yagura who was a perfect jinchuriki under a genjutsu with a 3 tomoe. Sasuke's 3 tomoe was stated to be fully matured and thus making him able to fight against a MS user of Itachi's caliber, Kakashi was feared with a 3 tomoe sharingan and Itachi had to go up to MS to defeat Tekka in genjutsu who only had a 3 tomoe. On top of all that, Sasuke is always using his 3 tomoe to fight Otsutsukis, his 3 tomoe was able to see the high speed rods from Isshiki. That being said, if he had a MS then the ability was a genjutsu, he was stated to put a platoon under a genjutsu with just a glance.

I always assumed that Fugaku was just REALLY good at genjuitsu. Like so good that if you were to enter combat with him then no one short of high level jonin could even tell what reality was anymore. But honestly this theory fits my assumption perfectly. He could use his MS abilities on anyone too strong for normal genjuitsu. Sakumo and Minato will just murder you real quick and be done with it. But Fugaku will unwind reality right in front of you and break your mind.

Hey. Just las week I thought about Bishmon as one of Fugakus ability. Mostly about using his luck to enhance someone's Luck for greatness in war. The example, enhancing Itachi's ability and prowess as well as being the head of the police.

The one thing I don’t get is the fact that Fugaku was considered Minato’s rival or is said to be just as powerful. If Hiruzen could still match Orichimaru I believe Fugaku could never fall to Itachi in a fight even if he was unarmed.

I wonder what color Fugaku's Susanoō would be? I'd like to say Blue because Sasuke and Itachi's are Purple and Red/Orange. But since Madara and Obito/Kakashi have that color(s), why not Yellow? Like a police badge? Or maybe his is a deep Crimson, resembling his son Itachi, showing how close of a mindset they share. Who knows, Food for thought, though a Golden Susanoō, admittedly is my favorite, maybe to insult or clash with the Golden Son of Konoha, Minato. Thus making Fugaku, the Golden son of the Uchiha.

My theory for one of Fugaku's abilities was the ability to see the future consequences of a decision he made. If he was at a highly emotional crossroads where he had to choose between two courses of action, he could vividly imagine one of his possible choices to see the outcome. Feels kinda lame after hearing your thoughts though. Bishimon is genius.😅

I used to think that Itachi passed down his Amaterasu to Sasuke. Like it was so damn powerful that Kishimoto have to stop using it or make powerful who either could absorb it or aren't affected by it. More the reason Itachi would want Sasuke to have it like a last sign of his brother, something he could remember him with.

In the Itachi Daylight and Moonlight Novel, during their Uchiha Clan Meeting s, the only timea Stated when Fugaku had his Sharingan popped, was when Fugakus right hand man, was going off to Itachi, and another time when an Argument came about, over Minato being favored more than Fugaku towards a Hokage Candidate, but Both times, its like they all fell in line and quieted down and itachi, both times its written from Itachi's standpoint on where its like this feeling came about him and everyone when listening just like he had when his father explained the Coup de Tat. Least thats what i took from them i feel like its something with Control. Great video

That's..... Actually very good, it also works with the dichotomy theme of what he has to do and what he wants to do. One eye being built to protect, the other having a power that destroys absolutely (amaterasu)

It could also be a interrogation genjutsu, like you cannot lie to him, or maybe even cooler, makes you lose control of your own chakra, kinda like Aisawa, or, maybe a genjutsu that affects your emotions directly, like makes you Sad or extremely angry if he want to, any of those can cause Caos on enemy lines therefore protecting his comrades.

If your personality at the time determines your MS it makes total sense the abilities are passed down, because who else has such an impact on your personality than your parents.
