Fuji is a great brand. I'm using only ROKN gis (which in hard to find out of Brazil and is made for BJJ. Right now but I still have my Fuji for Judo and I like more the flat strings.
Very comfortable gi, and I liked them for the understated styling. However, they don't last. I bought two of them a couple of years ago, and they promptly BOTH tore at the lapel along the back shoulder. I contacted Fuji and they replaced them, and explained that there was a problem with the first run but that later edition should be good to go. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. One of the two received back from them has since tore in the exact same place as the others did.
Soon I will return to judo but start BJJ so this is nice. (I have my judo gi back when I was doing before life happened then a pandemic lol but I do not have a BJJ one) I have noticed that the BJJ guys are COVERED in patches and stuff. Judo guys don’t seem to have that. I always wondered why. I guess it is a “thing” in that world. Love your videos love the red/white belt must have taken eons to get there. Wear it proud!
It s funny. I wear Judo Gi 750gsm for BJJ. He wears BJJ Gi perhaps 450gsm for Judo. My last three BJJ gis were all torn only after a few months of training. So i wear Judo gi.
I got to have 100 percent cotton. Nylon cotton blends and/or polyester are a no go for me....don't want toxins touching my body...especially when I am sweating
