@@Sean-qk5mv The Tikkurila Helmi range is great for kitchen units and cupboards. But the surfaces must be absolutely spotlessly clean before any application as even the tiniest bit of grease will hinder the application. Email Tikkurila if you have questions. I've always found then very helpful. Other adhesion primers I use are Zinsser Red - shellac based. Very effective but make sure you are well protected. Another product I find extremely good is Owatrol Easy Surface Prep. It's a wipe on/wipe off bonding film. You can coat any surface and the top coats will stick. It's very durable. For top coats I use Farrow & Ball or Little Greene paints amongst others. I prefer the Little Greene as it dries harder faster. I am in England. Hello Sir. Q5 does generate the heat that is transfered to the air hose. However less than Mini Mite 4 (the old model). I own both units and I'm writing from my experience.
How do you feel about my spray Pressure set up I use at work painting 12-30ft trailers (industrial) it's a devillbiss gun unsure of unit number as it's a used gun I got when I started working at my new job , but the other painter recommended 15psi fluid pressure and 40 psi gun pressure , with 2-3 turns out from completely closed spraying with full fan , I am having troubles with runs and dry spray and it's really bothering me when it's such a big project I'm working on
Hi Brandon q5 and mm5 will have same atomization power didn't thin the emerald . The q5 had the quite turbine and output control knob which is nice if your spraying thin and thick products with one turbine but want to control overspray you can turn the pressure down with q5 with the mm5 you can't
@@PittsburghSprayEquipmentCo Thank you for the reply. I wasn’t sure how useful the Q5’s pressure control was, I’ve seen it mentioned in several videos and articles, but haven’t seen it used except for in a Graco demo on a 3 stage machine.
I have the mini and trying to spray trim with the emerald paint also and can’t for the life of me, keep it from orange pealing thick or thin would love a video on the setup for fine tuning these things I’m struggling ! Thanks
