Bringing out a model with less features/functions than the previous model/version is hardly likely to increase demand or sales. In fact it might or will have the opposite affect with decline and perhaps the eventual demise of the wide format.
@@patrickwilson1440 but when people couldn’t even buy the Wide 300 in recent months, and even Fujifilm themselves posting an apology for Wide 300 shortages, there is definitely a demand for a Wide camera. It may not be the Wide camera that most long term Instax fans want, but people in general want a Wide camera. At least a new Wide camera model exists.
Fuji should have launched a version of the venerable 500AF instead. Zone focus is a pain. Can the flash be turned off on the 400? Don't see that in the spec. And a single color option? Pass.
No flash override, no exposure adjustment. It's has automatic exposure, zone focusing, a self-timer and an add-on selfie lens. I'm glad they made a new Wide camera, but I'm not interested in this.
@@narc692 I agree. And I have one It pretty amazing. There is Way more demand for the Instax Mini While People Don't have that Much of a demand On the Instax wide due to how Big it is.
Why do you hate us so much Fuji? Why would you make a product worse than the 10 year old one we’ve been begging you to replace. Why don’t you listen to your customers on what we we’ve been asking for. This is horrible!
@@palegiraffe1728 Exactly! Is it bad that I want to be optimistic about this? Well, at least they DID release a new wide camera. Better than nothing, isn’t it? This is just like the square 1 and the mini 12. They are very basic and are for amateur photographers, but they give unique and nice results! And maybe they WILL release a newer and better model for the wide! We just need to be patient and wait. ( I still don’t know why they discontinued the previous square cameras tho, they had so many functions and were so cool :/ )
@@Zetaphotography bc the Instax Mini 99 has better features control "colors" and light compensation..etc etc..if you watched any reviews on it you would know...they need to have a Wide 99..or even an Evo Wide..those would be great..
@@Zetaphotography To give the user some control and option over exposure an shooting mode. Not all us Instax users just want an idiot proof camera where all you need is a finger to press the shutter.
Apart from the self timer function this camera offers less than the 300 as it doesn't have the exposure compensation that the 300 has. Fuji apart from the colour of the camera, which not everyone will like, an insipid girly pastel green and the timer function they're offering less with this model than the previous model. Having some control over exposure is probably more beneficial than the timer function which will only be used on the odd occasion by most people. There's nothing that this camera offers over the 300 apart from the timer, they've just replaced one useful feature with a less useful feature. What us Wide users want is a camera with more control i.e an Instax Wide with the controls options of the Mini 90 /99 Besides i don't want some girly pastel green colour. Wake up Fuji gives us a Wide Camera with more control/options as on the Mini 90/99 until they do that i'll stick with my Wide 300 and Mini 90.
It’s a shame! Fujifilm (the old name getting meaningless more and more each day) produces a great instant film (specifically in the Instax Wide format, directly descendant from the missed FP100) and doesn’t develop a proper tool to use it in its full potential. Fuji really wants their instax line to be only a disposable toy for teenagers. Sad.
Fujifilm going backwards, as usual. Nobody was waiting for this. As exciting as the embarrassing Instax Pal. At least the AF will be better than in the XH2s.
It’s much to believe $1 billion company has actually made a product that is worse than the previous product. Fuji, why have you created this rubbish? You’ve removed the flash button to turn off you’ve remove the exposure button. I mean what is this for rubbish again, you ain’t getting my money.
What about the issues with the firmwares of pro cameras like H2S and X-T5? Stop talking about toys. Fujifilm seems now to be a toy brand. Not a serious brand for real photographers like Canon, Nikon, Lumix, Sony ... I am tempted to sell all my Fuji equipmemt (two bodies and 5 lenses) and jump to another seriousness brand.
