GOOD NEWS! I just bought the Fujifilm X-S10!!!
In this video, I talk about my first two weeks experience in using the Fujifilm X-S10 for video shooting.
The IBIS of X-S10 is good, but not as good as the Panasonic S5, Olympus E-M5 III and E-M1 III. When I do panning movements, the IBIS of the X-S10 will "fight" against my panning movement, and I couldn't get smooth panning shots. Also I notice some shakes and micro-jitter when I watch the X-S10 footage in full-screen.

The X-T4 IBIS is slightly better than the X-S10.
This video is color graded with FilmConvert Nitrate.
I use the Fujifilm X-T3, X-S10, and iPhone 12 Pro to film this video.

Great video. Beautiful images. The best I've seen Taken on the XS10 (And very nice overall). I've been looking at this camera because owning a Fuji interests me (I'm probably going with G85/95, but checking out other 'Vlogging' cameras as a possibility). However, all the other video taken on the XS10, I've seen on RU-vid, has been very glitchy, with jerky IBIS, and weird artifacts in the 'blacks'. Did you shoot all of this on Fuji cameras? What did you edit on? Is there a special process? Also, I noticed all your shots were stationary, no panning, or moving with the camera. Is that a style choice, or does the XS10 not deal with moving shots very well? Thanks, Campbell from NZ.

Looks great! However, this video doesn’t really seem to push the ibis to its limit, I’m curious just how good the ibis is in situations with quite a lot of camera movement, filming action, etc. looking to other reviews to answer my questions

Love my XS10. It has been fantastic to use as a one man Wedding videographer and to create videos for my day job ….. with the new firmware update, the only gripe I have is the short battery life, but that problem is more of a nuisance than anything else.

The battery life is a problem if you’re using it for wedding shoots, I think you would need at least 3-4 batteries for a whole day wedding shoot with the X-S10

Hey Mr. I bought this camera, and hoped that the unmarked dials are remappable, however I can't find any option to switch the front and back dial (F and shutter). Using a native lens, the F ring is on the lens, so at the moment, the front dial is completely useless, does not change any setting, and I can't find out how to resolve it. Can you help me, or at least confirm, that the two right dials are not remappable or interchangable.

yes you are right, the two right dials are not customizable in the menu/settings. There's no way to change it yet, hopefully Fujifilm will fix this in a new firmware update.

The Pentax vintage lenses are really compact with very good build quality to adapt to new mirrorless cameras. The Pentax 120mm F2.8 is my favourite compact tele prime lens

Thanks for watching! I use the Shoten adapter Pentax K to Fuji X mount, to adapt the Pentax K lenses on the Fuji body. The Shoten adapter is pretty good quality, you can check out Amazon Japan to get it

is the x-s10 good for video, I watched another youtube video that says the IBIS isn't that nice in the x-s10 and it would be better to switch it off and use a gimbal instead. Just wondering what your comments are about it, if it's good for video I think I might purchase one for vlogging..

the X-S10 IBIS is good for static handheld shots. If you are going to do walking shots and panning shots, the IBIS is not that great. Putting on a gimbal will definitely be much better. If you are looking for a camera that has great IBIS for everything, I suggest the Panasonic G9, the Olympus E-M1 MK III, or the Panasonic S5.

How about the dynamic range on xs10? How it compares to xt3 and xt4? Do you notice a difference?

Shooting in 8bit is no difference at all in dynamic range. But I see there’s difference when I shoot in 10bit 4:2:0 on both the X-T3 and X-T4. The X-S10 can only shoot 10bit with HDMI out on Ninja V, which I haven’t tried it yet

The image of the Pentax is really nice, better that the Fuji lens, too sharp for me. You use an adapter for this Pentax, if yes what adapter? Thanks One last, it's M42?

I use the K&F Pentax K to X mount adapter. The Pentax lenses I used in this video are all in K mount.

I'm using the SMC Pentax-M 120mm F2.8 vintage lens in the shot. It's a really compact lens with superb optics, the filter thread is only 49mm, and the weight is about 270 grams. I'm using the Shoten adapter, Pentax K mount to Fuji X mount, I bought it from Amazon JP, link below, amzn.to/34w3TVc

It's always good to know what type of photography you do, but without knowing your needs I'll offer my input since no one else has. The X-S10 and X-T30 share the same X-Trans 4 sensor as the X-T3 and X-T4, so there will be no real difference in image quality or dynamic range among those models. For still photography, you could go back a generation and choose the X-T2 with the previous generation sensor. Having used the X-T2 and X-T3 extensively, and now also having acquired a new X-S10 for video, you don't compromise at all with still photos from the X-T2, which is available used for $300-400 less than the X-T3.

I shoot at DCI 4K, 24fps, the highest bit rate setting, custom white balance, shoot at different ISOs with auto iso off. I also use afs and manual focus

The Pana S5 is better in IBIS, especially in panning movements. The X-S10 is a more compact camera to do vlogs

I will recommend to get the X-T3 over the X-S10. The X-T3's video features are more complete, it shoots 4K60fps, internal 10-bit 4:2:0, All-intra recording. It also has better EVF, dual SD card slots, and weather-sealing. The only thing it's lacking is IBIS. You can get a gimbal for the X-T3 to do steady walking shots. X-T3 is basically a X-T4 without IBIS.

You can check out the Sim City plaza located at Mong Kok, there are many shops there selling used cameras and lenses. But it’s pretty rare to see an used X-S10 in the market. The price range for an used one in good condition should be about 5700-6000 HKD

The X-S10 is more compact, especially with prime lens on it. I also found the video quality to be very similar to full-frame Pana S5, as long as you are not filming in low light conditions.

I'm a Gx85 user, how about the stabilization when you walk? Is it perform well comparing to gx85 at least?

the X-S10 IBIS works ok for walking shots, but you have to walk really steady like a ninja to get better handheld walking shots. The IBIS is not as great as the Olympus and Panasonic cameras, but it's good enough for filming casual walking shots. Comparing to GX85, I think both perform similar.

@@ariksyahbana2072 the 35mm F2 has focus breathing issue, which matters if you are using it for video. I suggest getting the Fuji 23mm F2, as there’s nearly no focus breathing at all for that lens and pretty fast AF in video too. The Viltrox 33mm F1.4 is also a nice option if you need the 50mm look.

IBIS on Fuji S10 is terrible once you start walking, very bumpy and unusable. Actually is very very bad. The only use is for being stationary. If I knew that I wouldn't buy this camera. Now is too late - Vloggers (on the move) need to stay away from it.

totally agree. If you set IBIS boost on, the IBIS is a bit more steady for walking shots, but when you do panning shots, there's still jerky movements

illogical camera.... grip comfortable?? Oh men, Even in your video, you can see that the upper finger of your hand touches the camera switch. THIS is not comfortable. In x-t3 you have all your fingers on the grip, and in x-s10 you do not. So why do you think the X-s10 is more comfortable?
