All my overheating tests for the Fuji X-T200 camera. Picture, video mode, streaming, HDMI out, USB webcam, I have tested every possible scenario in which the Fujifilm mirrorless may overheat. How does the XT200 deal with the overheating issue? I hope you'll find this useful.

I just tested the overheating time on xt200, if I use 4k30p, then it will overheat in just 10mins (23 degree celcius), but if use 4k23.98p, then I can keep on recording for 3X15mins, and then one the fourth roll 15mins, it will overheat on around 10mins, thats means, with 4k23.98p, I can record 50mins of video straight. ps I am using dummy battery for testing on both 4k30p and 4k23.98p.

@@AleSuggests ciao guys, honestly I am getting crazy! I have a xt4 fuji and recording with cam link directly on OBS Studio. I am a Yoga teacher and I need to record long videos like 1 hour long, and I can't because the camera overheats after max 10 minutes and it turns off! Like wtf?!?!?! Do you think dumb batteries will work? Any recommendations? I am getting total loca here!

Thank you so much, I was wondering why my camera was overheating last night. It was my first time using my camera since I bought it 6months ago. This was very helpful now so have to learn how to record in HD lol 😂

is the recording 15min limit only on 4k? how about recording on 1080p how many minutes? do you experience over heating while recording on 1080?

Minute 5:51 About 30 mins of continuous shooting without overheating... 1080p is a lot better than 4k. Thank you so much for passing by ;)

Hey thank you :) Unfortunately, I didn't run that specific test. I am now using the Fuji X-S10 because the X-T200 was not enough for me for video use, so I cannot test it no more. Please consider, though, that by the time I had the Fuji X-T200 there was a very annoying bug regarding the HDMI. Basically, the face/eye autofocus box was streamed through the HDMI out even though the camera was in "HDMI clean" mode (or "HDMI Info OFF" as Fuji calls it). This means basically that if Fuji didn't fix this in an update, you cannot use the autofocus when using HDMI out, which for me was a big deal. I hope this helps, and thank you for passing by ;)

Hey guys! Can I ask you if the 1080p via hdmi worked well? Like how long was your streaming? I need to record 1h videos and I am doing it on OBS but camera turns off after 10 minutes!

Please use video camcorder for live stream in church. And maybe smaller sensor will do better in overheat issue

what was your room temperature?

I don't have any specific gear to measure the temperature, so I can't be 100% sure, but during my test I had my heater's thermostat set at around 24.5°C. I live in Scotland, so it won't be too hot for sure, lol. Thanks for passing by ;)

Great video, thanks! All of these tests were done running off the battery, correct? Have you run any tests using a dummy battery? I would love to know if that gives longer recording times. Thanks!

Hey thank you! I didn't include my tests with dummy battery to keep the video short, and because I obtained worse results than using the normal battery. Results below: 4K RECORDING / ON SD CARD / WITH DUMMY BATTERY: - 15mins of recording - camera stops for recording limit - 5 mins recording - overheat 4K RECORDING / ON SD CARD / WITH NORMAL BATTERY: - 15mins of recording - camera stops for recording limit - 15 mins recording - camera stops for recording limit - 5 mins recording - overheat DUMMY BATTERY USED: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083XYZKDB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I hope this helps, and thanks so much for passing by ;)

@@AleSuggests I ended up going for the XT200 after a lot of investigating for my youtube channel ru-vid.com . I have installed a dummy battery, and have just piped 4K out over HDMI recording into OBS for 4+ hours. No issues with overheating. The trick was to turn OFF the LCD screen during recording. As soon as I turned on the LCD, camera shut off after ~5 minutes. So, if doing long recordings, turn on the LCD when you start (for positioning etc.) then turn it off for the rest of the recording. Thanks again!

@@pjrobertson3345 I did try to turn off the display, but I unfortunately had the same exact poor results. Can you please link the dummy battery you used? I'd assume, I bought a terrible one, at this point. Thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated! Also, enjoy your new camera... and great work figuring this out... 4 hours in OBS is no joke :) p.s. where was your camera made? which firmware are you using?

Seems like pathetic camera. I was interested in purchasing this but found in a lot of reviews about this heating miss.....I would say its a useless camera. Dropped the idea of purchasing this shit

Sorry to hear about that! I'd say sell it and get an X-E4, or X-S10... Otherwise Panasonic G85, or G9... Thanks for passing by, and for what it matters... it was late for me too!
