I use my XT-4 for work and for personal fun. I love that camera as I did the XT-3 before it. I pre-ordered the XT-5 over the X-H2 because I prefer that traditional look and dials and I don't shoot video. I am thrilled that Fujifilm is not ending their line of traditional SLR style cameras in favor of the XH line exclusively. Hopefully some or most of these features will work their way into an XPro-4 and XE-5 down the road. Thank you for a great video! :-).

"you don't have to choose from pasm" what you have to is adjust 3 seperate dials accordingly. It's not more convenient, it's just retro and people love it because of that.

It does have a neat cage for it as well, the SmallRig Retro Handheld Cage Kit for the Xt-5 is $200.

I was so looking forward to the X-T5 and wanted to add one to my kit of X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T3 and X-T4. But, seeing that it is smaller and cannot have a battery grip attached, it is not the camera for me. I have battery grips on my X-T bodies and my Nikon DSLRs as I like a heavier camera and I like the duplicated controls in portrait mode. Such a shame but there we are.

I think Fuji lineup makes total sense -- NOW -- but it's taken them a decade to explain it to people! Lol Three levels of value->pro, and then three styles of camera: rangefinder, pasm/hybrid, and classic slr

I use my XT4 like a film camera by flipping the screen "shut" (protection mode?) and I'll really miss that feature in the XT5

Personally I think the PASM cameras corrupt the purity of the Fuji model line. It's like they are trying to entice Canon users by making a camera with a similar interface. I came to Fuji from Canon myself, precisely because they have the exposure triangle on knobs. But then I'm middle aged. I started on film cameras. The exposure triangle is second nature to me. I don't need hand holding from my camera the same way someone who grew up on camera phones and such might.

Even though I grew up on phones camera I came from Canon to Fuji for the exact same reason as yourself. It just feels more natural and pleasurable to use the analog controls. I also feel like it corrupts their brand and uniqueness. That said I understand they have a business to run. Glad the xt5 still got the classic dials
