Stuck with this - I've done every step exactly as the video, downloaded the latest firmware from the link (currently 3.01 at time of writing) and dragged onto a formatted card, but when I boot up the camera with the card in as demonstrated, my screen says the version detected is 2.14... So it doesn't seem to register that the firmware file installed on the memory card is v3.01 and is still saying v2.14, any ideas on a fix for this?
hey thank you for the video. I have heard on forums that the update bricked their fuji cameras (not sure if x100v or different model). heard anything like that?
Hey man, thanks for the video - had somehow completely missed that the X Series had a new app out there. Hadn't upgraded my camera firmware either, because it never worked... very interesting to see whether it changes everything!
I didn't know about this problem. Bought a nearly new used x100v three days ago and updated to 3.0 with the green app with no problems whatsoever 😅 took me 15 minutes.
Ever since I upgraded firmware and downloaded this app the geotagging icon appeared on my X100V. First it was white. Now it's blinking red. I have turned off smartphone location sync through the camera settings and the app settings but this icon still appears. It's really frustrating I can't figure out how to get rid of the icon
Yeah, unfortunately no matter what way I try and update my camera it tells me I have the latest firmware even though it shows I have the old firmware. About had it with Fuji and just stick with my much more reliable OMS/Olympus gear.
@@REVRNDX SD card, formatted and I tried the WiFi. They all say I have the latest update and when I check I don’t. I’ve given up, deciding if I’m going to sell or send it to be figured out.
